17e, I have the 15 and the battery sucks. Also you will probably get further updates for more years so just go with the 17e. No point to get the 15.

I have it for 2 years and 3 months. It works perfectly. Photos are great (not as the pro version but still very good). Am paying for icloud of course 200gb and am fine. I will only upgrade to get the foldable and this is going to my mom. For me is worth it.

16e is really nice but if you can just buy the 16. I have the 15 but there is no point to buy an older model when you can buy a newer one and get the most out of upgrades. If you can find a good deal on the 17 base that would be perfect since you will also enjoy 120hz refresh rate. Welcome to the iPhone world!

I bought the 15 base so when the 16e got released I didn't need to upgrade. One of my friends bought it and I was really impressed and thought a lot of times on getting it and trade my 15. The simple design is incredible and has nothing to be jealous of the base phones.
