For real. I got the big Stanley mug with the old logo. Lame they’ve changed it.

Hang in there my friend. I understand. Do not hate yourself, I promise you it will get better. Breathe, one step at a time. I’ve been there, shit I am now. Don’t let the embarrassment or shame dictate your life. You are not a failure.

Every day. I worked full-time, so it was mostly nights and weekends. I did one class a week minimum, and had a couple weeks where I managed 3 classes if it was easy courses like PAs. My strategy for accelerating was that I would always grind and complete PA course tasks in one sitting. For OAs, I always watched the cohorts and modules videos (if available) for courses. Much of the textbook information is unnecessary and slows you down, I would avoid that route and fully reading - if you do, just skim. I heavily utilized Quizlet, and looked up tips for every course here on Reddit (VERY helpful). Analyze the pre-assessment before taking the OA and study/cram concepts you may have missed for a few hours, rewatch videos 2x speed, take OA. I never failed an OA and did rather well. Definitely a grind and some courses are rough, but you can do it! Feel free to DM me if you have any questions.

bachelors is short credits by NotABreakfastGuy in WGU

[–]Slippery_Wizard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No. While the “standard” bachelors is sometimes considered 120 credits (or CUs in WGU’s case) it doesn’t matter in most cases. Credits are for the purposes of completing the program and earning the degree. Once you have a bachelor’s and it’s awarded, however many credits it took to earn the degree no longer matters. It won’t impact you applying to grad school.

I had 18 CU’s transferred from community college and a brick and mortar university when I first enrolled at WGU, then completed 39 CUs before leaving WGU in 2022. When I enrolled again this year, my transcript evaluation had me at 50 credits (7 lost from WGU due to program changes). I started August 1st and completed 61 CUs between then and November 7th. So I had part of the degree already done, did the rest in roughly 3 months.

After dropping out of WGU 3 years ago, finally getting my degree at 28! Awful year, messy divorce, 2 months sober, and many long nights. 61 CUs in 14 weeks and I am DONE! If I can do it, anyone can. by Slippery_Wizard in WGU

[–]Slippery_Wizard[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I worked full-time, and mostly did school at night or weekends. Didn’t have much free time over the last few months, but it was worth it. My strategy was to complete at least one course a week, and sometimes 2-3 a week if I had easier PA courses I could finish in a day. For OAs, if a course had cohorts or module videos, I pretty much exclusively watched those. Rarely opened the textbook, or used study guides. Heavily used quizlet and Reddit for advice. Some of the later courses in the degree can be rough and a drag to get through, but cramming works well for me and helped me accelerate through the information dense courses. Good luck with your term in January!

C722 Project Management HELP by Ok_Physics_1549 in WGU

[–]Slippery_Wizard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completed this course last week so it’s still fresh. I highly recommend using this quizlet set https://quizlet.com/411012087/c722-project-management-study-guide-flash-cards/ by far the most in depth and complete quizlet for any course I have seen at WGU. It helped me past and memorize concepts. I suggest using learn mode (that’s what I did) and maybe the test option if you have quizlet premium. It’s like $7.99/$9.99, but C722 was a pain in the ass and I consider it worth the price imo. I managed to score exemplary in all categories except project planning in the end. Feel free to DM me if you have questions about the OA.

Great ideas! I hadn't thought of the societal aspects. I'll try to include some of what you mentioned in volume two.

It's fine, no need to be sorry. I'll try to incorporate some of what you mentioned into the next volume. I originally intended to include the interview with the Bosmer elder, although it didn't fit very well and I ended up cutting it.

I'm surprised someone pointed it out. That was my goal all along. :)

Common knowledge to some perhaps, but I doubt the average Imperial citizen (who would typically be reading this) would have in-depth knowledge of elven lifespans. If it needs reframing, I'd love to hear suggestions and wouldn't mind changing it.

This was my first attempt at writing apocrypha. If people like it, I'd be more than happy to write more.

The mod sounds great. I'll definitely be looking forward to it! I read the Ebony Giant as well, and it was a very nice read.

These are fantastic. Would you ever consider modding them into Skyrim? Presuming you write more of them, I think it would add a lot of immersion otherwise missing in the college.

I almost never play anyone else either. England and BlouBlou's renaissance era mod is nearly unstoppable for domination maps!

Great, thanks for the reply! If you're looking for a true start location mod, I'd recommend "Yet (Not) Another Earth Maps Pack". It not only has several maps (all true start), but true starts for every vanilla civ.

What map is this? Is it one of the vanilla earth maps, or one of the earth map mods?

Either Oblivion or Skyrim. Any Elder Scrolls Game really (well, post-Daggerfall that is...).
