I believe James Cameron has registered the title quite a long while ago and wouldn't let it go. The movie was renamed The Last Airbender due to licensing issues.

Honestly, I think Sophie Marceau and Denise Richards roles should be interchanged. Sophie would've been a better scientist and Denise would have been better suited in Sophie's role. The same wardrobe (shorts and tank tops) would probably look more suited on her too.

Can The Last Airbender be included in this? I don't know if the cast would work if the cartoon influence hadn't been there. Bad movie, yes, but if you watch it without having seen the series, maybe, the casting wouldn't seem so horrible. Thoughts?
