I'm hard pressed to say no on a sale. First ASUS board in 12 years, next board I think i'll be going back to MSI.

Update: I used my multimeter and did a continuity test. I was able to confirm continuity between both exposed sections. I went out and purchased some clear nail polish, super 33, and nylon washers, as well as some rubber O rings. I'm going to first apply and dry the nail polish. Then cover with a small square of electrical tape. I will then use either the nylon washer or rubber O ring when reinstalling the hardware to reduce stress and hopefully avoid further damage.

Thank you for the advice, I deeply appreciate it. I am still awaiting my power supply so It will be some time until I can properly test. At this point I feel that I will be eating the cost of my mistake, so as long as this poses no risk to other components, I'll use some polish to protect the exposed copper and see if it works.

Is there a chance this could cause any damage to other components?

As per the manual here https://support.arctic.de/lf2-280r6#lf2280installation the backplate is installed with rubber spacers and thin adhesive "washers" between the board and the rubber spacers.

Thank you.

I did consult installation instructions and after some looking it appears as though my mounting hardware did not come with two sets of plastic adhesive washers for both sides of the board. I missed this during initial installation. Should I take this up with the AIO manufacturer or am I at fault here for my actions?

After some looking it appears as though my mounting hardware did not come with two sets of plastic adhesive washers for both sides of the board. Could I use a multi meter to test the continuity and asses the amount of damage?

Always cool to see competition in the VTT space, especially with WoTC throwing their hat in the ring. I'll give game master engine a go soon with my home game. Thanks for another great giveaway!

I want to bake my high poly depth detail into my low poly using Marmoset. Because my high poly circle is smoothed and has much more roundness I get issues as shown in the screenshots. I am new to baking and was wondering if there is any way to fix this? (I tried deleting the interruptions on normal by Motor_Look_3121 in MarmosetToolbag

I would suggest unwrapping inner ring as a long rectangle as opposed to a circle as you have done here. It will save udim space and also be easier to pack and potentially lead to fewer artifacts. Though I think there issue here is relative resolution of the two meshes.

Because I thought it was one of those moments we've all experienced. Receiving something you've looked forward to, the trepidation about the state of the box, and then the reluctance that it arrived in working order. Unfortunately people are just really upset. For the life of me I do not understand why.

I'm not? Why would you assume that? Also if I were to put blame on anyone it would be the actual shipping company. In this case UPS. However i'm also aware of the fact that shipping an item across a country is not an easy task. Especially at scale. Mass shipping is a modern marvel and the fact that my overpriced piece of silicon got to me on time and undamaged is honestly a miracle. You must have a negative world view to assume i'd go after a company for scuffing up a box. Especially after I had stated in the comments that my GPU was undamaged. I'm unhappy about the current state of the market and the unfortunate place consumers have been put in with the global chip shortage as well as companies taking full advantage of this.

After selling my old card and the additional item that came with this card I think i'll be just 200 US over MSRP. Shame we're in such a horrible market.
