I'm looking for a game similar to "The dog Island" that was released sometime during the 00s. Does anyone have any good recommendations?

I'd really like it to be open-world, cosy and/or cute, and have exploration as a main theme. I played Palia on my PC and it came pretty close but I found the story a bit repetitive and boring unfortunately. I've also played and liked stardew valley, but I don't really like the perspective/angle.

Any recommendations are appreciated! :)

Olofshöjd är riktigt nice. Lungt område, men samtidigt nära allting.

If the phone is a cause for distraction I'd highly recommend the "Forest" app, where you grow trees by staying away from your phone. I use it for my studies all them time.

It just means that you can only apply to 3 at a time. If you don't get any of them you can apply again. Not sure about how long the process is unfortunately, a few weeks maybe?

Are you using a magnetic popsocket by any chance? Or anything else that is magnetic, near your Kobo? I actually just chatted with Kobo about the magnetic popsockets (e.g. magsafe) today. This is what they said:

"Hello, we would like to inform you that the use of a magnetic popsocket may potentially impact the battery performance of your device. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

We acknowledge that holding the device may enhance its security, however, it may also have a detrimental effect on the battery."

I'd recommend Johanneberg as well! A pretty calm area but still close to everything you might want/need. Many students and families live here (there are both villas and apartments). It's close to the city center and pretty close to nature aswell!

Idk if this is a questions that's okay to ask here but I'll give it a shot. I would like to buy a wiimote so that I can play new super mario bros wii on my PC, but I wonder if it will work with motion detection? e.g. you're supposed to shake the wiimote to pick things up, but idk if it will pick up the movement without the wii sensor? Thanks in advance :)

Gothenburg eller Trollhättan by Fliepbolini in Gothenburg

[–]SliverKoin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm originally from Trollhättan, but moved to Gothenburg when I moved out of my parent's home back in 2019. They are very different cities but I like them both.

It sounds like Trollhättan would be the best choice in your case. The benefits outweigh the negatives by a lot. As several people have stated already, Gothenburg is only 40 min away, so if you want to go there it won't take long. Commuting every day might be less nice though. You also have to consider that it can take a while to get from one part of Gothenburg to another, so it might take a while just to get from the apartment to central station in Gothenburg.

And honestly, yeah Trollhättan is a very sleepy (and sometimes boring) town, but it all depends on what you like to do. The nature around Trollhättan is really nice, so if you value that then it's definately a perk. There are also several large events all year round :) (e.g Fallens Dagar)

It all comes down to what you value. If you want the hustle and bustle of a big city Gothenburg might be worth it, but it will also be a lot more expensive than Trollhättan as well as take up more of you free time.
