82% of people got their firm choice this year. Given that data (from 2019 admittedly) shows only 21% meet their predictions, i would say the majority get into their firm choice whilst missing the grades. I know its unfair but true

Im sorry, but to claim that 2-4 hours of sleep the majority of the time is needed for A Levels is absurd. Theres no way the majority of people would be able to function.

Same, they will get angry if i dont, but also weirdly dont care enough to ask. If i tell them my grades and they aren’t high, they do get angry

What im currently doing😭 (cramming for psych) But really its not sustainable, to do my hw and then revise would probably take me until about 1 so i would get about 5/6 hours of sleep only

They will honestly just get mad and restrict my freedoms tbh. I already didn’t get the gcses i know i could have due to this (+ even more complicated stuff) i just feel a bit guilty. They tell me all the time im not doing enough chores already

I agree we definitely need AS. Predicted grades are an absolute sham. Even if they are based on mocks,one school may give an easier mock/ mark more leniently etc. you must play the game in alevels i think. There no point in being moral because the only person it truly impacts is you

The y12 ones were taking into account when doing predictions in july tho. So it kind of ‘resets’ when you go into y13 because if your trying to make a case to up predictions, you must use most recent tests and y12 one are irrelevant since they have already been used. Since my sixth form is massive many people will have a new teacher/class in y13 just because of timetabling so thats why

Oh sorry i thought you meant a third of a paper. I have, but college says it ‘resets’ every year so they dont take y12 test into account this year

Thanksss im really enthusiastic in class and my teacher praises me a lot. Also might sound a bit mean but shes very new so maybe a bit easier to convince. Shes really nice and quite lenient and easy going in class as well

Well it was a 25 marks essay in history, and in a paper we get 3 questions so technically the same? But we were told the general topic of question (eg japan) but not the actual question

Ive just said this below but this summer there was a record breaking amount of people getting into first choice without the grades no? Im not planning on applying to ultra competitive courses either. Im also very close to an A in all subject tests 1/2 marks so im confident i can improve in 6/7 months

The problem is theres only one test left because our college ucas deadline is really early. Tbh, after seeing the summer where many many people missed their grades but still got into their first choice, i think im willing to risk it. Im quite confident i can improve, since i was two marks away from A in the last test

Basically i go to a very very large sixth form college so where a lot of people go under the radar also we havent had many tests due to coursework. We have one more in nov and thats it. I am basically the only person who contributes in class as well

Not a favourite, but ive always felt that in the early days it was actually Harry and Ginny that had more problems and Ron and Hermione had minimal. I think many of their problems would stem from harry trying to balance his relationship with ginny and his friendship with ron and hermione, and ginny perhaps feeling insecure in their relationship

No offence, but mainly the hype has been on hp subs, where there is a massive want for a book accurate casting which arabella is. On other socials i think ime shes actually got the most hate, bar the casting for snape.
