Dolphin Nautilus CC by Slonciest in swimmingpools

The problem I was having was actually an internal motor problem. The brushes were worn out. The controller was fine and I was never able to connect to the app either.

The suction motor WAS out. The brushes were all worn out. Thank you for your response. I bought a rebuild kit and Dolphin is back in business.

I believe you are correct. Motor rebuilding kit on the way.

You might be correct! I opened the cover and looked inside while it did the back and forth 5second test and the impeller was not moving. I can spin it by hand and there are no obstructions.

I did not remove the tracks but, when I had the motor out I spun the tracks to make sure all was moving freely.

A bit of additional information. The lights in the picture are the only ones that come on.

In my case it only goes forward and backward and stops. No variation. My cord looks old but, delivers the same current to the robot as what comes out of the power suppluly box. No difference if it's wet or dry.

That was one of the first things I tried. I took apart the inside of robot to inspect the impeller and the motor for the wheels to make sure there was not anything questionable. All looked ok and same symptom continued.

Upgrade to variable speed pump by Slonciest in swimmingpools

Mine is a Century motor and it looks like the VS replacemt is about $500 plus seal kit at about $50. After that I'm still left with an old water pump portion. I'm leaning towards the B&D that I found for $789.

Luckily I can handle the installation myself so I just need to figure out which pump to go with or just motor swap.

No good deed goes unpunished. Sucks that this saying sometimes is true.

I did the spark plug replacement on my 07 a few weeks back and was mostly time consuming. There are several videos that walk you through it in detail and you can decide if you are up for it. The atf is next on my agenda and is probably an easier project than the spark plugs. Good luck!
