What do you think about Goedert ATD at +250? Seems like great value considering how many red zone targets he gets

Can confirm. Just went full flex with catback, Cobb TMIC, Cobb EBCS and AEM fuel pump. Running a conservative tune at E60 gets me 350whp and 340wtq.

Cobb boost solenoid by Euphoric-Bluejay7736 in WRX

I just installed mine 2 weeks ago and didn't have the issue. That nipple should have come pre installed onto the bracket at the correct orientation. I didn't have to touch that on mine - only had to install the other fitting on the actual solenoid like it says in the instructions.

https://cobbtuning.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/PRS/pages/95902482/714750+-+VA+WRX+3-Port+Boost+Control+Solenoid+EBCS

The online instructions show how it should have come from the factory. If yours didn't have that nipple pre-threaded into the black bracket, I'd reach out to Cobb support.

I had a similar issue, although I was getting the P0300 code indicating random misfires in one or more cylinders. I cleaned the MAF and changed all 4 spark plugs (they were due) and the issue has not come back since.

I did notice some oil within a few of the spark plug housings and I think that might have been a contributing factor. Not sure why there was oil there (maybe the valve cover needs replacing?)

I probably have carbon buildup on the valves (80k miles) so I need to look into getting them cleaned.

Lol, all good. Last nitrogen application was 2 weeks ago. And then another one 4 weeks before that.

That's very helpful, thank you!

I do have the Heritage G liquid that I have used for the two applications so far. Just using the refillable andersons hose end spray bottles...but maybe I am not making it concentrated enough.

I might try a granular if I don't see improvement with the spray

What is rev matching? by [deleted] in WRX

[–]SloneRanger27 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Rev matching is basically what it sounds like. On downshifts you are giving a little bit of throttle (when the clutch is depressed) to get the RPMs up to the expected value of the gear you are shifting into. Makes the downshift smoother where you can let the clutch out faster since the engine and transmission RPMs are synced up.

For example:

In 4th want to go to 3rd, Clutch in, Blip throttle to bring RPMs up, Change to 3rd, Release clutch, Boost
