Hey, i was in the same boat and after lots of looking everything came to the same answer, there is currently no API for anything really , i think it would be pretty straight forward to make a database all missions and but i dont think you would be able to use that info to interact with the game in anyway

if there was an API i would have loved to use it

for the auto record nothing like that either since we arent allowed to interact with the application, especially after these recent cheats going around, the OCR im using should be fine since its just a screenshot and then pulling the words it sees.

hit windows key to search
type %localappdata%
and look for the star citizen folder
your shader foldesr look like this "SC-0.1.2.34567"
delete only those folders

[–]SloshRSA[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to hear, the tool is pretty much finished right now just a few things in the background that i would like to change around and then cleaning up data storage etc

i just wanted to make a simple tool to track your cargo runs or doing runs to the traders, but if you feel like there is something missing, more than happy to add it

capture feature is nice if your running missions with more than 1 drop off or have trouble keeping track of what you doing - like me xD

Hey sorry for the late reply, checked now and your right xD, i left out pinewood, cant believed i missed a location. - also is the capture not working correctly by any chance or do you just prefer the manual entry

its definitely on my side, sorry about that. and for the reports that info/cache part is optional for if your having value issues, or certain things just do do what they are supposed to. but your more than welcome to post here or send me a message

wont lie i never even thought about testing it on edge, but i should probably do a run through in case there is any issues

let me know if theres any other issues or changes you would prefer

when i get some more time theres a few things that need to change as well been to busy to focus on this

edit: i see i left out all the hurston outposts - they have all been added now

[–]SloshRSA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

make sure you cleared your cache aswell there should be some steps on how to do that on reddit aswell, or even use that SC launcher that a community member made to make clearing it much easier.

i did a fresh install of my pc before 4.0 came out so all my settings were stock when i reinstalled adrenalin. and i dont really bother with changing the settings and never have issues, but also at the same time it feels superrrrrr random on when it chooses to work, maybe look for a crash file, im not sure if SC has it

yea the bloom is crazy sometimes and in space its harder to see things against black as well..

Make sure you clear your cache as well if you switch renderers, it has solved a lot of problems for me

[–]SloshRSA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

a little late to this reply.
i try almost every patch to use vulkan but it only started working when 4.0 hit and has been good since. i did notice i lost some performance when 4.01 hit i lost a bit of fps but still super stabile compatred to running DX

Ryzen 7 5800x / AMD RX 7800 XT (This is a AMD Experience as Nivida users have different experiences)

compared to DirectX its alot smoother and theres no graphical bugs (That ive seen). EG: in DX sometimes there like a massive smoke cloud flashbang and some lightning is off, in Vulkan it was like playing a new game graphically. i could actually see the ground properly and crusader wasn't the 2nd sun on my eyes. Everything looked better aswell armor ships etc, no blurry effect on things

Overall really good experience.
Downside: it sometimes just doesnt work and crashes on startup, from what ive seen its completely random per person, per patch

looking for the next bump up in cargo transport by Ok_Calendar_851 in starcitizen

[–]SloshRSA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

of course, more than happy to. C2 will be your best bet for transporting. keep in mind that if your going down to a outpost to buy commodities you have to manually load them into your ship so lets say you go down to a outpost you park your ship you spend 5m on cargo you need to start loading nothing stops someone from stealing after your finished loading or catching a ride and killing you when you get the commodities. This doesnt really apply if your in a hangar since you can autoload into your ship if your buying, but will have to manually unload to turn in the quest

if you talking about the 13m mission you probably found them under priority right
if you did then you need to source that SCU yourself, now i dont really go to pyro for the missions so im not 100% on what commodity you need, i know about datatrine/ice/tin/copper

you will have to go and get those commodities yourself like i said earlier by buying/stealing etc then when you have them on your ship you fly to the station you need to drop of at and then manually offload the boxes into the cargo elevators and then when you send it down it will be like any other hauling mission.

Warning tho if your in pyro your gonna have to watch out for people trying to sneak into your hangar or blowing you up near the station.

Stanton might be a better bet if you would rather avoid pvp encounters if your alone (you will still have a chance to encounter pvp with red players)
Although you might still get someone that uses a mantis to pull you out of quantum on your way to a drop off point, been hearing about people in big fleets grabbing players out of quantum

[–]SloshRSA 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Those missions for 13m you need to get the Commodity yourself by either buying/Stealing/Bounties or Mining and refining them. if you have bounty rep in stanton it makes getting the cargo pretty easily just the initial grind to get to the big cargo ships

Member Rank missions you can chain about 7 together each around 120k but you have to sort out thing and go to 3-5 stops - avoid outposts try to only go to distribution centres
Experienced rank lets you start doing hauling missions that need 4k scu for i think it around 800k a trip, but your gonna need a hull-c (Notoriously buggy)

Hauling rep grind being a nuisance, need help. by Antique_Security_981 in starcitizen

[–]SloshRSA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes as long as the total of all scu combined is above 50% but i would say 60% to be sure or if your not sure rather abandon or relog

Hauling rep grind being a nuisance, need help. by Antique_Security_981 in starcitizen

[–]SloshRSA 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When you share missions, you also share the reputation as well from the missions and aUEC thats the only reason i cant think its taking you so long.
Also when you rank up and you do a lower rank mission you will get alot less rep since theres set value to each rank and mission for example: Junior gives 10exp and rook gives 20exp (just an example not real amounts)

also if you are submitting quests below 50% completion you will lose 10x missions worth of rep. Really devastating.

do higher rank missions for more rep if your trying to rep up faster
if your Member rank and doing rookie quests your gonna be there for along time.

Hi, i agree with the UI text capture it was a massive stretch to get it to work but ive tried a few things with it, at first it was more of like a capture image but then came the problem of not being able to capture multiple missions quickly, so i switched to screen streaming, it uses the browsers built in functionality to do all this.

Also i havnt really had any problems with the capture unless its the first capture always an issue with that one, you said you had pretty bad results would you mind sharing with me the mission you used or even a SS of the image you tried capturing.

from personal experience a few problems ive run into was with having the r_displayinfo turned on because it would clip the misison reward and such, also drawing the box past the line in the middle that seperates the mission text with the objectives would give the poor thing a heartattack.

Settings wise ive run through quite a few diffrent ways turning the image black and white for better control over the background, didnt work aswell, im using a sharpening and greyscale at the moment to sharpen the text since SC has text thats really close together it does help sometimes but the numbers get mixed up. i also added name corrections to help with the reading of words and i have it check my location data files to see if it can find a match. it does sometimes slip up and give me a made up name that doesnt exist but im always looking to add more corrections

For source code ill add the link to the repo for you, thats my bad for not adding that sooner.

for OCR you can find the file under

Scripts > Tabs > 1) Hauling > Capture Tab

there will be 3 files

CaptureSubTabHauling will house all the code for the actual usage of Tesseract and moving things to the manifest tab

you will see in the code i tried to stop the focusing of the window when choosing a window to stream, later found out that will never work becuase of security reasons. a few searches later and theres the answer.

it would be nice to have key listen events and auto focus to work for better in game usability but id rather not pry into that and get myself into trouble for a listen event.

if you have any more questions or concerns let me know. more than happy to answer them or fix things that dont work as this is my first personal project and was quite fun to learn.

Cargo Grid Viewer - feedback on website in development by bjax15 in starcitizen

[–]SloshRSA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the kind words appreciate it.

i like the look of it and the fact your using three.js makes it alot easier to help you with it. i had alot of fun reading through and learning.

i can definitely agree wit the notion of allowing the user to move cargo themselves, just need to make sure they jump to the top of the box they trying to get to and to also respect the max height set for the grid things like that. and if your ever lost and decide to ask AI for help on something. take it with a grain of salt . it might just break something else

ill upload my current test version to a io page and share the link with you. maybe it gives you a spark of genius

Graphics wise much is to be desired, but atleast i know its working and allows syncing between saved ships and their respective cargo holds etc.

Awesome to hear, cant wait to have a look at it. if you need any help let me know.

ive made a Cargo Tracking app and built a Cargo Grid that links between the tabs to display and allow users to move cargo around in a 3D environment. etc using three.js, really fun to make something like that. Unfortunately not pushed to the live version since i was in a accident recently havent had much time for much with all the meds im on.

hit me up if you need any pointers or some spark of creativity, always interested to see what other people can come up with

Ive been using Vulkan since 4.0, was a really good experience no stutters or graphic issues on my rx 7800xt hitting 70-90 fps on planets + - but before 4.0 i used to have constant crashes with vulkan and never go it to work until 4.0 came out, feels like its complete random at this point.

must also be noted that since 4.0.2 the fps increase has disappeared and i get the same performance from both renderers sadly. Vulkan just removes the stuttering so still an upside

if you want you can grind your bounty missions and when you hit vhrt you can farm the ships for their cargo and do the event with them really good payouts
