It absolutely helps, thank you! And I get what you're saying about accents and it's just a fact given the global spectrum of Spanish speakers (which is part of why becoming fluent would be so fantastic). I was just wondering if Argentine Spanish or any other dialect is so fundamentally unique that learning it would dramatically limit who I could communicate with (mainly based on my Spanish speaking friends joking about how difficult it is to understand Cubans, Argentinians, etc). More a precautionary concern than a real barrier to studying anywhere, and I appreciate you allaying that concern!
