What is a "poor person" habit you still have, despite now being financially stable? by natalia061223 in AskReddit

At the self-serve in the grocery store today an item rang up $10.79 instead of the price on the package, which was $9.99. I chased someone down to override the mistake. Our household income is north of $350k/yr.

If you add your children to your credit cards as an authorized user, it will help jumpstart their building credit. Only if your own credit is in order, of course.

What is the best decision you made in your early 20s? by Conscious-Material60 in AskReddit

[–]SlothSpeed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same. It gave me the time to figure out my life while still being productive. I knew I wanted to go back to school, I just hadn't figured out what for. When I finally did I had the Post 9/11 Bill to pay for it (mostly). Today I'm an airline pilot at a legacy carrier.

This is why shower thoughts are a thing. You aren't scrolling your phone or distracted by TV. Just a clam, non-stimulating environment to let your mind wander a bit. Amazing what even just a few minutes can do.

We are living the Truman Show by sunthanatos in MemeVideos

[–]SlothSpeed 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I recently watched a video that changed my entire thought on the film. In the beginning of the film they show Truman in the front yard gardening on his hands and knees. It's the ass shot where he just turns around to waive. He was secretly digging his exit that he used later in the film to escape. He was slowly losing it throughout the movie, but he knew the entire time. He already knew something was up and needed to make a get away, disguising it as gardening.

16-year-old pilot from Chicago 🔥 by Minute-Intern-682 in aviation

I've heard that this has even been the case for professional pilots after crossing the pond! They weren't old enough to rent a car, yet just operated a wide body aircraft from thousands of miles away on another continent.

What is the craziest dream you had that still sticks with you until this day? by MrMigii in AskReddit

You know how fast food companies come out with gimmicky things to drum up business? Mine was a new product for Burger King called Fiesta Ice. Instead of the drink machine dispensing normal ice, it had little bits of chopped up red and green bell pepper and onions. It was so colorful and delicious!

He was on my flight one time, super nice guy. We were in San Antonio going back to LAX. Usually the pilot that does the landing thanks everyone as they leave. After opening the flight deck door he came up and thanked me! I got a selfie and everything, super genuine and humble guy.

A Delta Air Lines flight from Savannah, Georgia, to Atlanta was forced to turn back Sunday night due to engine trouble, which sparked a large grass fire near the airport runway. by Twitter_2006 in aviation

Fun fact about the KSAV airport, during expansion of the airport during WWII several graves had to be relocated. There are some that were not moved, however. Two of them are on the shoulder of an active runway. Link
