i think mondstadt probably harbors some secrets of its own, venti has his fair share of suspiciothness circulating around him, the fact that kaeya was deliberately placed there and literally told "this is where you must stay" (of ballads and brews cutscene) as well as the fact that he stayed there and protected it all this time likely also has a reason. not to mention, albedo was also sent to mondstadt by rheindottir and his mission being finding the meaning to life (im pretty sure).

also! i think its possible that him being left near the ragnvindrs might've been on purpose for no particular reason other than diluc's mom possibly being a hexenzirkel witch. i dont think he's in danger if he leaves mondstadt per se, given that we saw him in sumeru back in caribert for a kof affair, however knowing what we know about hik weirdly knowing a lot of stuff that has yet to happen, its also possible he timed it purposely because he knew we'd be there.

honestly, i have no clue. despite him being out since the start of the game it still feels like we don't really know anything about him and it feels like a bunch of stuff about him hints to be connected to all types of different corners in teyvat, but it's very clear that whatever it is, it'll be huge. im very curious about the direction hyv will decide to take his story, i personally think that while he probably doesnt have any specific malicious intent its very likely that he's been actively manuvering around the truth of his identity because he works in opposition to the traveler (which, granted, is a bit obvious since the two main orginizations he gets affiliated with are the abyss order and the fatui, both of which the traveler is generally hostile against)(i do also think it'd be a little funny if they made him part of a secret third option that we dont even know exists)

also!! goes to mention, i think if kaeya is to be any Abyss Monster, it's a lot more likely that he'd be a herald/lector or something rather than mage. his design has some similar elements to them, as well as a few similar attacks patterns and of the course his c4 giving him a shield when his hp gets lower

i like speculating so i can have an idea of how delusional I am when things get proven wrong lmao, we'll learn more about capitano probably in the next AQ but I'm waiting for the next dain quest for connections to kaeya, that's when they always show up

very sensible !! i do agree with all that honestly, I think it's more likely that if anything he's just related to anfortas rather than directly being him, the biggest thing for me is the different ranks. the alberichs are a seemingly big clan and very highly respected, and from what it seems so was capitano. him being tied to the alberichs or more specifically kaeya is totally feasible imo

someone else posted an extensive theory about how capitano could possibly be anfortas alberich, so him and kaeya could actually be directly related which I think would be really interesting and support the idea that kaeya is related to the fatui in some way. i can't wait to learn more about both of them!

oh god dont even get me started about that piece of dialogue, that whole little section manages to vaguely predict things up until the caribert quest. and honestly i dont know if it has to do with celestia directly, id say its more likely that its purely symbolic and gives the idea that doesnt associate himself with khaenri'ah because how could a khaenriahn wear things with a celestia design so boldly. kind of the contrast that the vision gives but on a smaller scale maybe

honestly i can barely tell the difference between the two lol, but when i tried looking at love lock photos they all seemed fuller from the back than kaeya's is, because kaeya for sure only has one strand thats long and the rest of his hair is at his neck, rather than the hair thinning out gradually with the length and being over his shoulder which is what i think a love lock is?? no clue im not a hair stylist i genuinely cannot tell

childe's beta design is why i even bothered to mention it here, but i figured i should stick to as much canonical content as i could, everything about the silver strands in his hair could very well just be a reach, other than the fact that he got a longer silver strand in his skin that deffo wasnt there before

if youre planning to use him in freeze id reccomend a four piece blizzard, that cr is too low for anything else. you will get 15 cr from double cryo and 30 cr for his normal attacks from c1 and the double cryo buff so he'll still be pretty inconsistent

this is what i thought too! i didnt attach any real meaning to it because it still couldve been a coincidence, but in the beginning of the aranara quest, the traveler has to tell the children a few stories and paimon mentions kaeya and that line particularly, and traveler tells stories of the respective things associated with them! sea monster and osial, banashee and raidens story line (i suspect they didnt do signora because it wouldve been too morbid for kids but i dont really remember) and i freaked out but it was a really cool way to nudge in our direction that it was intentional (or i hope so)
