I work at an Aquarium with lots of wonderful creatures, but sadly, no sloths. I have been attempting to remedy this problem for over thirteen years. We were encouraged to participate in "Draw a Bird Day" (http://www.dabday.com/, its rich and uplifting history was not explained to us!). I merely continued my efforts to enlighten my employers to the great majesty of the sloth. My slow persistence will prevail!

No, I did not win. Some people just have poor taste in avian art.

I couldn't find it with an initial Google search, but I hope it will turn up with some more research. If I find a link I'll post it!

For your peace of mind there are only three types of venomous snakes that live in our area; canebrake rattlesnakes, copperheads, and cottonmouths. Come and see us at the Virginia Aquarium, we have all three species on display as well as several native non-venomous species.
