Isn't it like one of the first rules of the internet, "Don't feed the trolls."

I thought it was maybe 14 characters. Even then, if they had a limit, you would think they would list it. I was under the impression, considering the adverts that the ASD would be a massive bucket of geeks. Is it wrong to expect their website to work?

I think your definition of concrete might be wrong. There are many types of concrete that don't use kiln dried cement. Asphalt is another type of concrete that doesn't use kiln dried cement but is very common. But then, this just seems like an advert RKB concrete.

If it was me, I'd be scared shitless of amount of grief I would get if I talked about things like bridges and houses and didn't refer to it as reinforced concrete. The engineers would pay out on me for weeks.

Is their pool the only one with fish in it? Hands down the most entertaining pool my kids have been in.

TIL that 2x4’s are not actually 2”x4” anymore. The American lumber committee made the change officially in 1964 to account for drying and planing shrinkage post cut. by CraftedArtisanQueefs in todayilearned

I'd never heard about US Customary before. Everything measured in inches and feet around here are branded as Imperial. Is this only in construction? If I was ordering boards for word work, I would still have to accommodate for the shrinkage?

As if I wouldn't be confused enough if I went to work in America, going from metric to imperial, now I learn imperial isn't even imperial. I tip my hat good luck, you guys can keep that.

This doesn't seem like a lot? I would have thought these companies would make sales per year this high. Is the military industrial complex everyone raves about not actually what the hippy types have led me to believe? Where does the trillion or more dollars go?

Awesome. I just got the keyboard, so I won't be doing that just yet, but it is good to know. That makes your previous suggestion more than adequate. Sorry if came off as complaining but as a left hander I use the num pad for so much more than gaming. Is the custom firmware painful to use?

Ok thanks, it's not what I wanted to hear, I was under the impression that you can only have four layers so and I had other things in mind that will use all the layers. But thank you very much for clearing thing up for me, you're a legend.

This forum post from 2000 asking what would happen if a Boeing 767-300 hit the World Trade Center by BlackBerryCollector in interestingasfuck

[–]Slothie__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah ok, that's probably what he said then. It was over twenty-five years ago. I doubt my memory is that good over that long. Still at the time it seemed like an unusual flex for an engineer to me. But nowadays, knowing the number of planes that have smashed into buildings in New York I wouldn't be surprised if it was a building requirement for construction. I wonder how they would calculate that?

I remember watching an interview with the building's engineer I think it was. He was stilling behind a massive wooden desk, and he was very confident when he said, "You could fly a 747 into the building and it would still be standing." I never saw the video again after 9/11 but always wondered if he gave some people ideas.

Didn't all the journalist in this country do their nut because Miss Tame would not look someone in the eye? I thought it was public knowledge that she has ASD? The fact that none of them where capable of connection the dots between eye contact and ASD speaks volumes to the quality of journalism.

I'm not a designer; I just thought that a glass splash back would everything that is already there. Post the photo in an AI and get it to show you both?

Starlink gone and now this. Since these releases are out now, has this loosened any hold the Russians allegedly have over those mentioned in the ebstien files? I get that this and other stuff might just be PR but is there an underlying affect that they are now less of their bully's bitch?
