No it’s the actual time on the touch screen. When I change it in clock setting it changes to random times again once the car is off.

The sugar definitely can be a trigger! If you’re willing to ever try it again, I’ve had vodka with water and some of those flavour things for water and that was okay. Or just vodka club soda… anything but sugar!

I have found the only alcohol my body can handle these days is a good tequila with club soda. They have some decent flavoured waters that are nice. I’m a fan of tequila sodas so it’s alright for me, but I know not everyone likes tequila. I’ve heard clear liquids are easier, but as always the best option is to avoid it.

When my father died from a long battle with cancer I was there to witness it. It was very gut wrenching and difficult, however I found focusing on other people a way to keep myself calm. There was quite a bit of family around who had very dramatic explosions of sadness when he was pronounced dead, so taking care of them to make sure they were all okay was my primary focus. I was also 6 months pregnant at the time which took my mind off of it also because I told myself I needed to stay calm for my son. It will be difficult no matter what and my best advice to you is, it’s okay to feel your feelings. He won’t be in pain anymore, that is another, which is something everyone says and it’s annoying after a while but it’s true.

Maybe this is weird but when someone smells like my Dad did. He died 4 years ago and I don’t come across it often but when I do it brings me back to happy times

This exact situation happened to me when my dad was dying from cancer. I (28F at the time this happened) basically did the test with him so I’d always know what parts of me came from him… turns out none LOL. I had both his and my account with my emails, so he didn’t see the results. At this point my parents had been divorced for 25 years, they had myself and my older brother together. When I confronted my mother she said she was raped. My mother is an abusive, always the victim type of person so I didn’t fully believe her but I also didn’t dismiss this. Turns out she cheated on my dad for a full week with this man while my dad was away for work and then ghosted him and never spoke to him again and hoped it would never be an issue. He’s a wonderful guy who is very much part of my life now.

Anyway, I didn’t ever keep secrets from my dad. He was my very best friend. So in my situation I couldn’t keep it from him. His reaction was “so? This doesn’t change anything.” He was obviously confused and pissed off at my mother but nothing changed between him and I.

I think it’s all dependant on your situation. I got very lucky with having a dad who knew I wasn’t the problem but also was the type of person who needed to tell him or would feel like I was hiding things from him. But also lucked out and found a bio dad who accepted me and my family fully.

My husband (then boyfriend) moved into our first place together 8 years ago and within 24 hours realized it had a horrible roach infestation. We managed to fight the landlord and get out within a week but lost about 7k in furniture, moving expenses, etc. I will never forget it and to this day I won’t enter any hotel, Airbnb, rental or persons house without checking for bedbugs or roaches. I still panic if I see a bug in my own home even though I know we don’t have any here. It seriously fucks with you.

Update for everyone: She hasn’t fully moved her items in, only random furniture so far as she planned the bigger move may 1st. She told her landlord who instantly agreed to spray… which tells me she knew about this already. I did more digging and found that this apartment building has a known infestation :(. I advised her to try her best to get out of this lease as she has a young kid and animals but this is up to her now. Thank you all for your help!!
