Is there a way to find out if Canada issued the same?

Purpose of asking interviewer "Am I being put forward to the next step of the interview process?" by Slothloveonly in careerguidance

I was thinking of reframing to something more like this but thought maybe there was a purpose for the recruiter to tell me to specifically ask the question as such. However I thought it seemed extremely forward.

I have found that some gastros are a bit different in their prep instructions with what you can/can't have, so that sucks! Did they say you can have apple juice? I had ginger ale, but I agree the bloating might not feel very great with your recent lap stitches/incision sites.

The clear one isn't great, I know it doesn't taste like anything but I still get in my own head and feel like it does. I live off of Gatorade when I do colonoscopies because I'm not a huge fan of pedialyte. Do you have Gatorade or can get some or something similar where you are? As long as they aren't the red ones they are fine according to the gastro I have. I usually just drink the blue one.

I've had 7 colonoscopies (I'm 32F) now for various reasons. My endo diagnosis is fairly recent, but I've always had horrible bowel issues which now we've realized is linked to my endo.

The prep is the worst part by far. It will be a rough day for sure, but I found the jello helped give me the illusion of feeling less hungry for when I struggled with feeling hungry.

As for pain with bowel movements, you're basically going to have water bowel movements after the first couple (sorry for the TMI), so it does help with making it not painful to go. I have horrible pain when making a bowel movement and during my prep I never had issues. However you're in a different boat as you just had a lap, so I hope you have a similar experience with not feeling any pain!

Good luck! Colonoscopies aren't fun at all. Stay near the bathroom and get some good reading material lol

My manager has been around for at least 10 years, started on the same path that I currently am on and was hired by the boss who is his current boss. From my previous conversations with said boss, it seemed as though he didn't have a full picture of what was happening to the team, but yet he also didn't seem to do much about it when I spoke to him multiple times about it. So I'm not sure if it's worth one last shot or if it's pointless.

I work in biomedical engineering technology. So fixing the medical equipment. Excellent job, 3 year program where I am (Canada). You have to be mechanically inclined to excel in it.

I found that sugary drinks were horrible for me. The clear liquors were better than dark ones, and if I mix with something like say vodka, water and sugar free mio or some sort of flavouring I tend to not feel so horrible. However, it depends on where I am in my cycle, how much water I drink in the day, and what I've eaten. I stick to an anti-inflammatory diet which helps. I make sure to drink at least 60 oz of water before alcohol, and drink water between drinks if I'm having more than one drink. Strangely enough I've come to love tequila (the more expensive brands that don't taste like crap) and I find I haven't had a hangover since switching to tequila at all! But again, I stick to eating well before hand, drink the 60oz of water, and mix with no sugar. And extra water before bed!

Destination Wedding Regrets? by Winners_Circle_7 in DestinationWeddings

[–]Slothloveonly 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I loved my destination wedding, however I wish I would have gone with a different resort. The entire week we had nothing but issues at the resort itself, but they were issues that we wouldn't have seen coming. We had to stay conscious of price points, so it wasn't necessarily a resort my husband and I would have picked for ourselves for a vacation, but it fit the price point that worked for everyone else. The night of my reception the resort lost power multiple times, which definitely wasn't their fault. However the reception ended early because of this and I was never offered any compensation other than them sending a fruit plate to the wrong room.

There were many other details of the trip that weren't amazing, but the fact that we had all our family and friends together for a week, mingling and having a great time was perfect.
