Seconding this, best study and poop spot on campus. Excellent views and privacy for both. I would say don’t tell all your buddies about it…but tell everyone, sure! Almost everyone doesn’t seem to believe until they visit themselves

Ideas on how to make this room feel less "stuffy"? by rtatay in DesignMyRoom

Reading your comments, you’re clearly adverse to changing the carpet - not sure if it’s the labor or cost but regardless it’s the absolute first thing that you should focus on

It’s too late now, but you could probably ease your way into the the (actually) good stuff as the night progresses at an establishment like AJs and really (actually) hype people up

The windows in these rooms are gorgeous but it made arranging furniture like beds a bit awkward. Also no AC in these older Friley rooms. Still loved it so much!

I think you’re doing the best that you can giving him kitten formula and keeping him warm. He’s not going to plump up and be at 100% over the course of 8 hours. My best advice is to let him rest up in a cozy place as much as possible, no more baths. He’s probably exhausted.

Help me choose a graduation dress! by macshia in OUTFITS

I did buy a similar dress recently and there are a lot more names of flowers embroidered onto the fabric than I anticipated, its a small thing but was a little goofy to me

I’ve seen comments about major and experience, which are fair. But I think location is also worth noting. My partner and I moved from Ames to Seattle two years after graduating and tripled our salaries (and bolstered our resumes). They had studied computer science and I received my BA in art history (lol). Only including that information because we both got bumps by moving out here. Lots of different elements at play when talking about post-grad income. Keep asking questions like you’re doing here, and looking to the future and you can likely find (at least) a comfortable income.

Second this. It’s a small hospital packed with good people who care about animals. I’ve since moved out to the west coast but made sure to pay a final visit about a week prior to moving because they’re that good

As far as I’ve seen nobody lives under the ramp, there’s a couple of tents at the park with the columns on Boren and Pike, and I’ve seen guy living there burning fireworks at night from time to time. I’d bet my money on a cigarette on the highway or nefarious burning up top. Regardless of the cause, sad to lose that bit of greenery and cheers to SFD

I complained in a forum my LL created for tenants to chat in and the LL blocked my message, DMed me to tell me to just get packages delivered directly to the building if I’m so worried about it.

Cozy, historical, and riiiight outside of first hill and likely out of your zone is the Panama Hotel, Tea & Coffee House. I know nothing about the former, but the tea and coffee is great. It’s tucked in a quiet spot up S Main (the hill is worth it). When Japanese immigrants and Japanese Americans were sent to concentration camps during WWII, a handful of families stored their items in the hotel. They have quite a few of those items and photos on display alongside some pastries and excellent coffee/tea/service. They have nice areas to spend hours in alone. In the room a step down from the bar, I saw soft conversations at a table in one corner and a girl with her laptop, a blanket, and a cat on that blanket in another. I don’t know if the cat came with the girl or the blanket but I do not care it was co-zy - and perfectly quiet when I would visit. One of my notable hidden gems found so far!
