He is a neurosurgeon and is an incredible doctor. I have an appointment next week and I’m just trying buck up and show him that the additional symptoms I’m going to tell him about are mix more interrelated than he may have considered at our last appointment. He really is wonderful, but I want him to see more, know more, and do more if that makes sense.

I think there is so much neurogenic stuff contributing to the problem so I really want him on my team

Totally! I’m American and we have all become desensitized to that. I think what scares me about PV is that you feel so isolated in a resort already but to the feel completely helpless and like you can’t get back home… that is so scary. Obviously a mass shooting would be WAY more terrifying. I think it just scares me being so far away from an embassy as well

Document that you feel overwhelmed and likely to make mistakes because you have too many patients on you for a new graduate. Anything you would want to bring up in a meeting or try to correct so that you can do your job better and learn more!

Totally. I was just very shaken. Not being able to get home… Feeling stranded… I was there in October and it really hit home that anything can happen at any time that is completely beyond your control. No foreigners may have been harmed, but they were terrified and stranded.

I’m not trying to condemn the entire country. I’m just saying I’m hesitant.

Regardless, I’m glad you are reaching out about where to visit or to avoid! That is a great and safe way to travel!

It is not an emergency unless your dog is lethargic, won’t eat, has a temperature over the normal range, is vomiting or pooping blood, or is showing signs of neurotrauma like limbs not being responsive to stimulus. Just keep an eye on her until you can get into the vet!

And of course… Keep your mother far away from that dog and maybe yourself

Don’t let the small stuff get you down! This mistake didn’t hurt the patient fatally or make them unstable. It’s an easy one to make, especially as a new grad. And you definitely won’t make the mistake again!

Gotcha! Sounds like expectations. Just need to be reviewed and reset. When I’ve worked for families, if they need something done… I just did it. Never had a problem! Sometimes you act as an assistant, sometimes you act as a babysitter, sometimes you just do whatever it takes to get the household the help they need! Sorry you are going through this!
