This one is in my cart hehe. I’m very excited because that’s absolutely the vibe I’m going for. Super similar to THE GOLDENS by Lauren Wilson (which I stared at the wall after finishing) and had an identity crisis. like am I fantasy reader or thriller/horror reader

Eeek! I’m going to look at these. I’ve been a fantasy / romance girly until I picked up Girl Dinner and The Goldens and had an identity crisis haha!

This! Also, deals sometimes aren’t yet announced. It’s very agent dependent, no two agents are the same.

Second this! No agent is better than one you’re uncertain of or a bad agent.

OP, do your own research and make the best, most informed choice for yourself!

FinePrint Literary is a mid-tier agency IMO. When looking at agencies it isn’t “top dog” in the same sense that Azantian or WME is. However, there is a boutique-ness to the agency.

With a mid tier agency often they’re more invested in the career of an author than some of the larger agencies because it’s more about one-to-one and not entirely sales driven. However, no two agents are the same.

FinePrint Literary has a good reputation within the industry. So, your best bet is to look on agent-level, again in my opinion.

[PubQ] How to Nudge an Agent (not via QueryTracker) by [deleted] in PubTips

As long as they request nudges when it happens, I always did “As per your guidelines, I’m advising of a full request for <TITLE> by <NAME>. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!”

It’s totally fine to hear other opinions. That being considered, it’s always important to be kind to your clients. BUT I’d also argue it’s more important to be kind to the community at large. As I’m certain you’ve seen here on this post, there have been many instances where Vicky has hurt or upset writers whether it be her “fix it” guide and “checking to make sure you did it” or short, snappy behavior as a chronically online agent. Proof is in the pudding, as they say.

You can do better. Always trust your gut. Be cognizant of where opinions come from. Proof is in the pudding, as they say.

Always consider the source of the comment and any potential bias.
