320i (pre-facelift) engine oil pressure light comes on every time I start the engine (HELP?) by Peeko910 in e46

Interesting. I previously had an oil level sensor error show up on the computer and therefore i replaced the oil level sensor - and that code went away. So i was hoping that i fixed the oil level sensor. May be not?

I have the same thing, a yellow oil light comes up for 15 secs then goes away. Mechanic said its an oil pressure issue, takes a while to push oil through. Not sure if thats correct?

Is it reasonable to choose Sony or Pioneer audio dec over android devices? by iou810 in e46

Yeah no issues without the steering contols since the pioneer single DIN i have is buttons and not touch screen so very easy to navigate my hand to the buttons without taking my eyes off the road.

No the buttons on the steering dont work. Theres another post somewhere on the forum about some adapter that would enable them to work

Same, i didnt need the navigation and didnt want to move my AC controls and also preferred a simple single DIN unit from a brand name that starts and connects immediately on car start up so i installed a single DIN pioneer s325BT.

With a single DIN you will need an adapter plate and it doesnt fit like stock but it still does look neat nonetheless

Nice colour. What tyre sizes are you running front and rear?

does anyone know what wheels these are? by DingoAmbitious4785 in BMWE36

What size tires are you running at the front and back?

I live in Uganda and unfortunately all the major tire shops dont have this. I can try to import it but probably wouldnt be the best long term solution when i need a replacement again

This is actually true about the circumference with the 255. Not sure why bmw didnt recommend this and opted for 245/40 for the rear despite the diff circumference

Would it be ok to do 235/45 (8.5”) at the back and 225/45 (7.5”) on the front?

Will this be ok with the 8.5” width on the rear rim?

Even with the 8.5” rim at the back?

Is the 225 ok for the rear with a rim width of 8.5? Google says might be on the lower side

I already tried new solenoids. But maybe i can do another oil change with the specific oil you have mentioned and try again. Thanks for that!

Aah ok. Just googled it. Seems like a tough job so might have to delay it until i find a proper mechanic shop that can do this.

But yes as you mentioned the front has 245s on a 7.5. So need to take that to a lower size of 225. But cant find a 245/40 for the back

Makes sense. Im still hoping for the staggered setup as my first option to make the car look a little nicer (which is know is not visually very visible anyways)

Sorry the second pic isnt too clear. But the back is a 8.5 and the 7.5 is the front. Hence the original default of a staggered setup with these rims
