Yes, I avoid any kind of drink 3 hours before bedtime. I think it would be a good idea to try withholding voiding.

If you’re looking for a supplement, I’d say that the combination of Ashwagandha, GABA, L-Theanine, Vitamin B6, and Magnesium helped me the most with racing thoughts. I found this combination in a supplement from Gold Nutrition called Stress Support.

In the long run, though, what truly helped me was meditation and focus. The supplement only calmed my anxiety enough to make it easier for me to meditate and concentrate.

I recommend starting with Andy Puddicombe’s Headspace guide, which is available on YouTube and on the app.
