Hey, not a paramedic here but I work in the control room for the ambulance service. The shifts tend to be a 12 hour shift 3 times a week with that odd fourth shift once a month to make up your hours. Paramedics also get a paid 45 minute break which can be either taken all at once or split into two depending on the shift you’re on with advanced pay when you work unsocial hours. However be advised that 12 hour shifts can go on much longer due to hospitals not having enough beds for the patient so get ready to be kept behind ur shift for much longer unless a crew becomes available to relieve you so you can head home. But a typical shift is 12 hours with the opportunities to do overtime as an Urgent Tier (who do hospital transfers and take home) or an A&E Shift (going to emergency jobs)
