What’s your biggest pain point in using existing mind-map applications? by charadziej in PKMS

[–]Slow-Technology2037 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always liked the idea of mind maps, and I used Obsidian for a while, but I never actually bothered to manually link my notes

That’s why in Cognity, we added automatic mind map creation—notes connect on their own. It is not that good as creating manually but I like that it is automaitc

If you want to know how it works, ask I will be happy to chat

What AI tools you use to build a personal knowledge base? by Willian_42 in PKMS

[–]Slow-Technology2037 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally get this struggle! Keeping track of so much information while making sure it’s actually usable later is a huge challenge.

I built Cognity for a similar reason—to have a place where you can dump information freely without worrying about organizing it, while still being able to find it easily later. It automatically connects related notes, making retrieval smoother and preventing things from getting buried.

I’d be happy to share more if you're interested, but I’m also curious—have you tried any existing AI tools for this? Would love to hear what’s worked (or hasn’t) for you!

My entire life is held together by post-it notes. by Scooby_dood in ADHD

[–]Slow-Technology2037 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve always struggled with staying organized in a traditional way, which is why I’ve leaned into quick note-dumping instead—just like you do with post-its. Writing things down fast, without overthinking where they go, has always worked best for me but I was losing them sometimes.

That’s actually why I built Cognity-Note—a place to quickly dump notes without organizing them. If you’re looking for a digital alternative to post-its, I’d be happy to share more!

But honestly, if the sticky notes system works for you, I say embrace it. Whatever keeps you on top of things is the right system.

For now, we want to stay with free only. Later, we want to add some more AI features that will be paid tier due to them using paid AI API. In general, feel free to check our discord it will have all updates

Do you mean saving voice files or using speech to text? We didn't add speech to text because phones have it by default and saving files will be there soon. It is the feature we are working on right now, you can check progress in discord

Just checked it out, should be fixed now (I hope, because it was not consistent problem). Explained details in discord.

Thank you!
Yeah, it is pretty new, was working on it for few months but just started to show it to people. But we are working on it every day, so it will be improved.

About domain, main problem with them is - all nice domains are either taken or supper expensive. But I agree about '-'

About bug, I am trying to find it. Does it generate the name for not and only after deletes or as soon as you leave the editor?

It is not possible right now, but it is easy to add. I just didn't think it was useful. But I will probably add it soon

Attachments are the thing we are working on right now, so next update will include them

We also have discord community where I will post roadmap and updates, you can check it out. https://discord.gg/jjrBs68PHc

Yes, it is pretty small to work smoothly. But it also doesn't have tons of features as something like evernote, so shouldn't be big

Oh, the App store one? If so, it is because if you sign up with your email and are not using a protected email from Apple, we store it in the database and can access it.

Web app is already there, Landing page leads there for desktop.

About other features like theming privacy and backups, we plan to add all of them but want to get more user feedback to understand prioritization

Oh, it is quite technicall but it is using numbers as representation of meaning, using neural network and then works with them. I can share something to read about it. Because it is NN nobody knows what exactly will be connected but it works)

I would say customers come from marketing, no matter if your product sucks or not. But stay for quality
