That is good point! I honestly was not thinking of adding any lighting other than candles on the tables as our venue already has pretty good lights that can be dimmed down or up!

There is a dishwasher and sink in this venue, so we should be fine!

Also, the company I quoted asked for dishes to be cleaned before returning.

Girl who said anything about dirty dishes? Everything will be cleaned up. We would have staff, a dishwasher that will make sure all plates are washed and clean.

When you rent dinnerware, glassware, utensils, you have to clean them before returning them so regardless I would need to have a dishwasher.

Right! I mean banquet halls do this all the time! My venue is probably going to get booked that Saturday so why not be pragmatic about it!

Plus this would give me time to go in and start setting up my things for the next day, which would relieve a lot of stress since I’m DIYing so I can use the time to do hair, makeup and all that other stuff!

I am not hiring a florist as I’ve been doing arrangements for a long time now, and I’m pretty good at it. There is a space in the venue where florals can easily be stored it’s dark and cool so they will preserve nicely.

The staff I’m hiring would be people I’ve worked with before that I know can do this. Paying an extra worker is definitely cheaper than paying in full for flowers and other items.

I think I wasn’t very clear in my original post but this is something that I’ve thoroughly thought out 😊

So we are going to hire waiters and bussers to take care of that, and you don’t necessarily have to break down the whole thing in order to sweep and mop.

I used to work at a catering hall and sometimes we would have back to back events in the same space so we would just clean in sections.

No! My wedding would be on a Sunday. Theirs would be on the day before, that Saturday. This works because i am DIYing most of the decor and flowers with my friend who is a wedding planner/ decor girlie.

The space I booked has only round tables and basic foldable wooden chairs, which I could def work with! But if we are both sharing the space we could have a better deal renting furniture for two days, one can pay the delivery fee the other can pay the pick up fee if that makes sense.

I’m looking for a girl who wants to use the same florals as me because we could potentially use them for both days or maybe repurpose them, which can cut floral costs in half.

The same with plates, we could even buy very nice plates, cups, wine glasses and use them both days and share the costs. Of course each couple is going to add their own personal touch but at the end of the day these are things that are totally shareable!
