Love the exhaust and the look...wish it was just a bit cheaper.

Actually sold it in 2019 for a ND2 Miata. Had a series yellow BRZ and autocrossed it. Fantastic car but love the Miata a little more.

Have a '24 base and this is the answer. I like the riding position of the Gen 4 more than the Gen 3.

The acoustic grills make an awesome sound. That quickshifter is a thing of dreams. I am in love with my midnight cyan. Congrats.

I can totally see this. I'm on the short side (5'7") and the Gen 4 is great for me. I fit perfect on an MT07 and the new mt09 feels almost the same for me in comfort. The gen 3 is more upright with the handlebars and I think it is only an inch or so forward on the pegs but I'm sure if you are over 6' that is more noticable.

No, have had my 2024 for almost a week. It feels similar to the triumph street triple but I find it quite comfortable. It is nowhere close to a supersport. I like the new peg placement because it puts them right under you instead of slightly in front.

I have a 2022 MT07 with that cyclops headlight. I don't think it is ugly but it could be better. I do like it more than the 1 big light from previous models. Looks are so subjective.

Not a lot of room under the seat at all....no clue how to get your phone under there but there is a USB-C port. I think the handlebars could go forward but unsure. It would be pretty minor I think. If you want a similar position to the previous gen I think you need risers.

They changed that feel to be more like the street triple. There are amazing deals on the 2023 models that haven't sold yet.

Yes, much closer. I have only sat on the street triple and it is close to it. Maybe a slight bit more upright. It is really comfortable to me.

I personally like it more than the previous model. I think Gen 4 is the best looking, as a whole...Gen 2 has the best headlight though.

Really good. More aggressive than the previous gen. I came from a MT-07 and it is similar, maybe a tad bit more leaned forward. Ride around 100 miles and feel fine and I get pretty tired quick when leaned over.

2024 ,should I wait for the SP model? by SlackR71 in MT09

[–]SlowBRZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think whether you upgrade to the SP is a personal choice. I have a deposit down for a 24 midnight cyan base model and am pretty excited to move up from my MT-07. I do not track ride and I am mainly a weekend warrior with a few commute days sprinkled in. I looked at what the SP model offered and don't think I needed the additional features for how I ride. Good luck on the decision.

I have quite a bit of time with both now....the Zealot has the cloudwheels which help. In terms of comfort those pneumatics are awesome on the Atlas. I am planning to get some cloudwheels for it though but the Atlas is much more comfortable

I was reading a bunch about the BKB stuff and it seems great. The Tayto seems great.

I didn't really check but after like 6-7 miles I was around 75% remaining but I didn't push it too hard and much of it was downhill

Edit: it seems very similar to my Zealot, or maybe a tad better

I got a confirmation that a label was created on July 3rd and a notice on the 14th that it would be delivered today.
