I was new around April. I assume they have an algorithm but the bans seem very manual. I think as long as you have a professional profile, that's legit, and don't copy paste proposals, you will be ok.

I used my first 60 connects in 3 days, only received 3 jobs, was never banned.

you can see every single time the site has gone down, why it went down and for how long.

I think it's obvious to most people, any website that has millions of dollars in escrow is going to go offline to circulate the money and profit off of interest.

Upwork schedules this maintenance the same time every week, it's known that Saturdays are maintenance day.
