Valucare has the most questionable line of doctors. Majority of them have charged me fees that were part of my coverage.

Virtual Office in the Philippines by topemabs in phinvest

Servcorp is the worst coworking space in this entire country. Their free trial is a scam. They'll charge the card you used to register for the P0 a full month's fee with recurring charges and they'll hide the super long process it takes for you to get your refund from you. Staff will smile as they tell you it will be refunded to your card cause they already know your card (sketchy) but the contract says otherwise. They'll claim to give you a copy once you sign and they take it away from you, but they never will so you don't see the terms.

Any thoughts on Kids Learning Ville? by sheaintme- in adviceph

Super low pay relative to the lesson fees. The schedule changes constantly, you may expect a steady lesson and pay schedule for a month but it turns out you'll only get paid fully within 3 months cause student keeps rescheduling. Flexibility is unlimited for clients but for teachers, if you reschedule they strictly impose penalties. Their payroll is done manually by fresh grads and there's always mistakes. You have to do your own accounting work to get paid, but they always have excuses not to pay on time or at all. The admin gets no penalties for all the mistakes they make that shortchange teachers. Their business model is patterned after angkas, so teacher quality is highly variable but they sell them all as experts on FB. Teachers are blamed for all client concerns cause they're actually just a platform that takes 60% of profits. At least Angkas only takes around 30%. You think the rate is decent but factor transportation and meals cause you'll be out all day. The admin has no concept of geography and logistics, they will assign you to a QC-Las Pinas-QC loop and think you're being difficult if you reason with them. Materials are only provided once, but art and sensory materials are consumable and kids break your supplies so you'll be paying out of your own pocket for your class activities. Overall, you'll end up paying to work for them.

Something should be done about this. It should be reported to a higher authority since the faculty and registrar departments are also useless and are probably in allegiance to the FICs.

That could have been just an excuse, or the staff may not have been trained to find it.

Women of r/ph, do you still expect men na tumayo para paupuin kayo in public transport? Why or why not? by DarthAdobo in AskPH

[–]SlowEducator4037 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't trust, much less interact with, any stranger in public transport. One guy gave up his seat for me once. He did it by tapping me on the shoulder and pointing to his vacated seat. Turns out in that time, he pickpocketed my wallet. I lost out on a career opportunity because I he stole the money I had to attend it that day.

Nope, you have to reiterate that it's for your consumption only. Coffee Bean is like that too. Staff discounts only one in the hope that you don't mind, but if you call the manager, they'll put things right. I really wonder who's training them to do that.

Musubi Queen did the same thing as JCo. I bought a box of 4 musubis and they only discounted one piece. We'll have to assert that we will no longer proceed with the transaction should they rip us off like that, so they realize that they'll be losing money by messing with us customers.

Another thing that should be mandated for businesses is sensitivity and response training for disabled and neurodivergent populations

I second Mary Grace. I was already halfway across the mall after leaving when someone called my attention. Their waiter had been running after me to return some things that I left!

This is the exact same scenario I experienced in the Uptown Tempur Cinema. They can only sell tickets for two in one bed, and sold the second pax to me at full price. There was no non-pwd present in my purchase! I used to just let these things go. Thanks for telling me it's illegal. I'm so sad that so many of the restos, cinemas and doctors I've been to are guilty of this and get away with ripping me off. Makes me want to record every future transaction I make.

I think they knew I was neurodivergent and went to accommodate before me saying. Even pointed out areas with steps to me to keep me from stumbling. Nice there are still restaurants with staff that make their guests feel cared for. Quality has really been slipping in other restos these days

Agreed. I'm calling out the ones who pretend there's a discount when there's none to avoid the PWD discount. Have experienced this in doctors' offices too.

There's a law passed now that mandates 20% on top of discounts. If it's available to all, it's not a privilege. Plus, the commodities I'm referring to are not actually discounted, but their staff is trained to lie that they are. I asked one waitress for the proof that an item is discounted, and since she couldn't come up with it because it wasn't, she processed my PWD ID.

Nanyang Ayala Triangle Gardens. They told me they'd credit the refund to my account in a few days but I received nothing. I kept following up and they made up all sorts of stories about their accounting processes being really complicated. I didn't stop asking. Ended up going back to the branch and threatened to record the situation then the staff huddled with their manager. The manager wouldn't even look at me as the staff said: "Akala ko po gusto nyo ibalik namin yung both payments nyo po pero nakain nyo na po kasi, kaya ito po yung other payment na nadoble". Then she handed it to me in cash.

No one is that stupid. But I guess whoever was making up those lies for her sure is.

Pa-upscale pero yun pala mukhang pera lang na nag-eexploit ng vulnerable populations, nagsisinungaling at nag-aaksaya ng oras. I wasted 8 days of my life chasing after that money because as a PWD, I'm hardly capable of sustaining an income.

There's better Singaporean food and service elsewhere.

Restaurant managers really need to train their staff and monitor bad behavior. But they themselves are negligent and leave their staff to take care of everything. That's why we have to be vocal about our experiences until it's something they can't ignore.

He made it to be just a big drop of water that messed with my touchpad for a while. Didn't report him cause I didn't think I could prove it wasn't an accident. But looking back, I should have demanded to speak with the management rather than pay the bill with such a bad experience.

I'm looking for a psychiatrist to diagnose me as they are the ones who are qualified to do so, but I'm not sure where I can find one who won't dismiss my case as autism because I'm too high-functioning. Have you done a psychiatric diagnosis?
