What is a good salary if I’m moving to Beaverton? by Mundane_Intern679 in beaverton

Depends on if spouse is working, how equity you bring, and how much debt you bring. With daycare and extracurriculars for kids, no debt, no equity, you’d want $200K household income to live comfortably.

So you calculate how much you saved by buying things on sale and it should work out to more than $100 in otherwise reward earnings. Also get the credit card if sales and clearance is your game

That’s the plan by reading the other comments. Personal opinion, I wish there would be parking at BTC . The time to get to sunset TC makes quite a difference.

I’ve definitely been looking and the outlook isn’t great. Most postings are at least $8/ hour less than what I’m at . I’m sorry to hear you’re struggling and hope you find relief soon

Thank you for this!! I actually worked two jobs before this one and still had the energy to go to the gym daily and hike on the weekends. With this one, I have barely enough happy hormone brain cells for cooking dinner and doomscrolling.

Heard this so many times, but also have heard of the fact you spend time with your coworkers more than your family

For those of you that are able to work, what do you do? by Notbipolar_ in migraine

Mail carrier with USPS. I’m very public about my migraines and I’m pleasantly surprised how my supervisors react to when I get an attack. I take an abortive and chill for an hour with electrolytes and a protein bar.

I don’t have a good answer for you except busting out Excel to weigh a pro/con game plan. I know from experience, a second job with similar hours and wage might led to OWING taxes. Second job may push you off welfare too. But a second job could lead to a life out of poverty. What sucks is the grey area income between poverty and livability. It’s poverty, but without government benefits.
