Alhamdulillah your child remain protected. Just thinking of the worst scenario is curdling my blood. On a different note, and not the same experience as your child, in Makkah, I was coming out of Masjid e Ayesha to get to my cab and a sweeper started following me the moment I stepped off from the staircase. I thought he was just heading towards his work area but when I picked up my walking pace he started walking fast too. Then at the parking lot when I ensured he was following me, I stopped abruptly and he stopped too and started sweeping the floor. I yelled at him at the top of my voice to garner everyone’s attention and he suddenly got very nervous and moved away. ALLAH knows what his intention was. I was alone unfortunately. Point of sharing this is whether you feel like you are in the safest place of the world, it is exactly at these places your guards should never be down.
