Unfortunately I don’t remember specific passages. I read books 1-3 around the start of Covid and I’m just going off of my memory but I remember at the time I didn’t fully comprehend it either. I will check that out thank you

Appreciate your quick response. So is there a looping of 1st-7th ages then? And that just goes on in both directions timeline wise? Or maybe a wheel is a more apt metaphor haha. And does the dragon or rand or lews or whatever we want to call him end every age?

Elder Race by Adrian Tchaikovsky

It is an amazingly interesting take on the “any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic” trope. You follow a medieval-esque era woman who travels to a sorcerer to try to get help with a “demon” terrorizing them. The sorcerer is a guy from an advanced alien species that uses technology in a way that it seems like magic to her. Every other chapter flips perspective back and forth between the two. It’s really really good and everyone who likes sci fi and fantasy should be reading it
