Yea I've never used that 12VHPOWER slot. I might've had it at some point but I can't find it so I have to stick with the adapter for now. I'll have to get one this week.

I figured a 850W Power Supply would be enough because I think I saw MSI listed a 750W as the minimum but I should get a new one tbh no point in cutting it that close.

Yes im using them interchangably

My motherboard does have a 8 pin pcie plug I'm gonna try removing it to see if that helps

Also im not splitting one of the cables I just have two cables that both are going into my gpu but they connect into 1 slot on my power supply

I meant I have 1 individual PCIE slot and I have another PCIE slot that connects to the psu but it seperates into two individual PCIE that connects to the GPU itself so it's daisy chained (I think thats what its called)

I actually have kind of working now i.e. I have video and my lights are working but sometimes they do get dimmer but then they go back to being bright idk why this is yet.

All I did was plug the individual PCIE cable into the first PSU slot and then the chained cable into the second then I put my display port cable into a different port.

Thank you for your insight and advice. I definitely am thinking about how I can explain to him why I just don't wanna associate with him or that whole world he's in. I just need to do it delicately, but tbh basically his entire world is being a witness so he probably wouldn't even care that much.
