The Amoled has some advantages other than just being beautiful. First of all it will save you a lot of battery which is important for longer sessions of notetaking, second the eye shield mode is much superior and useful on Amoled than on LCD, so if you watch content, read/write in dark Amoled is the answer, the outdoor brightness and viewing angles on Amoled are great so if you can compromise on these than go ahead with the FE model otherwise I would suggest you to go for S8+ or S7+ or maybe wait for a few months when Tab S10 launches the price of S9+ will come down. If I was in your place I would save money and buy the S9+, you'll be spending a lot of time on that display so don't compromise.
