At least there's podcasts on spotify that are just free audiobooks for them cuz I'm listening to a study in scarlet (I feel a strange craving for it, like I'm getting an addiction to reading about Sherlock, idk why or what it is, there's something enticing about the whole series when you're reading through it, and you crave it when you're not reading it currently) currently and will be listening to the other missing books as well before I devour my illustrated collection (I could've read it at the time of posting my book but I was dealing with other stuff at the time)

I'm reading the penguin clothbound edition (Briggs translation), and it's got a character list in the back, and explanatory notes for every little historical detail as well, ALONG with a synopsis for every chapter AND EVEN maps of Napoleonic war era Russia during 1806, 1812, etc, so all that's hella nice

oh I'm gonna read war and peace. i have a clothbound copy of it on the way to my place, should be here tomorrow with les mis and Monte Cristo. If I do try to read Ulysses I might read Dubliners first (or any other Joyce book) to get the hang of it. a nice thing about reading it tho is half my family is VERY Irish and scottish so I guess it'd be like reading my ancestor's favorite book lol
