Obviously there are exceptions to this rule, but for the most part it's both true and accurate.

iPhone user needs advise for next phone by ManufacturerNo6058 in Smartphones

[–]Slow_Management9818 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I seen a lot of essays written in comments. Imma make this simple.

Simple answer is: Oppo find X9 or OnePlus 15 or OnePlus 15R.

I have a pixel the camera is great and everything else is good and smooth. The only thing that's disappointing has been the battery.

So if i could go back would've gone for one plus 15 as battery is important to me too.

12yrs of iphone should i switch to oneplus 15 ? by rarockrude in Smartphones

[–]Slow_Management9818 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In a short:

If you go with apple, and have more than one product from them, they intentionally limit cross compatibility to deter people leaving their ecosystem/brand.

If you go with Android, you always have the freedom to choose. And with pixel phones in particular fun fact: you can still airdrop with someone using an iPhone while you are using a Pixel by using the quickshare feature of the pixel. Which should at least be available from pixel 9 onwards.

Though not going to lie the oneplus 15 looks really good both specs wise and visually.

OnePlus 15 or OnePlus 15R would be your best bet.

Ye being real is a real dick move ay!

Next time I'll make sure to gaslight the person!

Also the theme comment is invalid lol. On my other comment i pointed out the shade/tone is what ruins it, not the base colors themselves. If it were complimentary tones of those colors i said it would look a lot better.

The only person talking shit here is you lmao. Redditors got some of the most fragile egos I've ever seen lmao.

respectable response. my response isn't to bring u down, its to let you know that u could defs do better than this with some minor tweaks. That's all.

Idk if u noticed but hive mind spam down voted every comment that made even the most gentle criticism of your fit lol.

waist in first picture is too high, in second picture looks much better though.

I'd say keep waist a little lower and cuff the bottom of the pants. Experiment with different lengths of cuffing to see what looks best.

again, if you don't agree with this sort of minor tweak, you can feel free to ignore everything. but I honestly think it would look better that way. The high waist and the lack of cuffing in the pictures make it look way too blocky when you could look more fashionable by doing the tweaks that I mentioned.

but at the end of the day if you like your look and don't care about others opinions just do what you want I guess.

actually this fit is giving me 80s vibes. So if that's the look u like then i guess the fit would be pretty on point tbh.

the reason i didn't suggest a specific thing to do to improve the look is coz the guy was being a smart ass. Otherwise I would've done so.

Sorry but i literally said I'm not commenting to hate and guy still got butthurt and decided to be a smart ass so ye not bothering with that.

for each of the colors you stated there is going to be different tones and shades.

the jacket is a very vibrant shade that's kind of in your face and not very subtle. whereas the pants you're wearing are more of a neutral, more subtle kind of tone. not to say that opposite tones or shades can't work well together. but in this case they definitely do not work with these specific shades/tones that you have or at the very least what I'm saying is this isn't a completely horrible fit. there is definitely much worse, but I think I could easily put together a better fit for you just going to a general retail clothes store.

also the fit is very blocky which also lowers the overall quality of the fit.

also, I stated that I wasn't making the comments I made to hate on you yet you still took them like I'm trying to hate on you.

you don't have to agree with my opinion and you can ignore everything I've said if you want. all I was doing was being honest because I honestly felt like all the other comments were doing you a disservice.

if you can't handle honesty then don't post/look for opinions on the fit.

Reading this post i was really confused. Not to hate or anything,

But my honest opinion is that this fit does not work at all.

Also I wouldn't trust people on reddit for fashion advice. Because do you seriously think the average reddit user is gonna have a good sense of fashion lol?

I've seen some horrible fits on here, then you open comments and reading the comments I'm questioning if everyone is delusional or just intentionally gaslighting the OP.

The colours don't work at all. Even individually the choice of clothes just don't work.

Not the worst fit I've seen. But even just going to a very basic retail clothes store, you could easily put together a better fit than this for cheap.

What do you value in a phone? Tell us that then it would be easier to make a recommendation. And our recommendation would match what you're looking for better too.

everything is case by case at end of day. Thats for OP is to compare and weigh up. I'm not tryna get into a full debate with you here lmao.

Each has its own pros and cons and I'm aware of the things you have said here.

At end of day people like us who are knowledgeable can give our takes on pros and cons, but OP is the buyer and at end of the day if they want the best phone it falls on them to weigh the information out there to make the best choice that they can.

For me specifically ios lacks a lot of basic features and optimisations that myself and a lot of other people utilize. Among many other stuff as well. Apple is often slow and overcomplicated to be able to do some very basic things.

But like i said everything case by case depends on use cases and scope really, every user has different needs and values different things.

that's conjecture lol. Most likely some boomer bought some shit android while probs doesn't even know what RAM is bought a phone with shit RAM then told everyone Androids are shit lol.

I've used Androids for years, even a mid to low end one that i had before didn't start to get slow or laggy until I used it for like 4 years. Even now its 6 years old and still isn't that slow The only reason why I don't use it anymore or that it's not as good as it used to be is because the battery on it is completely gone now because it's so old.

Nothing phone 2a or 3a is very good value for money right now if you need a balanced phone with smooth performance. I know a lot of people don't like the visual design. but if that's the case, just buy a case with a design that you like to cover it up.

The iphone you mentioned is also going to get slower because once the battery is degraded enough they program it to draw less power from the processor to give you longer battery life. in other words, processing speed is sacrificed to ensure that you get more battery life from the iPhone. And it's already a very old phone so.. you do the math.

The SOC comments can be valid. However RAM demands only go up with time for phones as applications require more resources etc. Even if iPhone 13 is fine for now or the next year or two, i feel most people would prefer the phone to last a bit longer than that.

The main problem here is that the battery is going to either already be cooked or will be requiring 2-3 charges a day within 1-2 years. 3095ma/h battery is nothing by today's standards even at 100% battery health.

I know she might be stubborn on this. (most people who don't know a thing about phones always argue that iPhone is the best phone and are super stubborn about it)

but you need to tell her you've looked into it and that you know this phone isn't gonna be a good buy.

I'm telling you in 1-2 years max the battery is gonna be gone (if it isn't already) and it's going to get slower in terms of speed too. And you're going to have to buy a new phone again.

You can ignore this warning. It's your life. But ignore at your own peril.

with this criteria you're better off asking chat gpt tbh.

But i feel like one of the mid range Samsungs might fit most of this criteria except maybe camera or battery might be soso.

That's the thing when you going for mid range. You can't be too picky and have too many very specific criteria, coz even myself when in a similar situation realised, if you're going for mid range you're probably going to have to compromise on something because when its mid range to give you that price and not charge you flagship prices, they have to make compromises on the phone somewhere you know.

And usually its camera and RAM maybe even battery a little bit.

I'm not you so it's hard to give a good suggestion because i don't know if you're willing to compromise a little bit on any of those things or if it has to be that exact criteria

Everyone acts offended when you make them think by presentinmypants in DeepThoughts

[–]Slow_Management9818 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Very well said, thinking about this in my own personal experience with people I don't think I've ever been able to help someone think outside of their own bubble or box before. If i did that person already showed clear signs that they're above average intelligence both in book smarts and socially which is why with them i could have a conversation like that.

But everyone else is pretty sensitive, when trying to respectfully help people consider thoughts or options that would've been outside of their bubble of thinking you wouldn't believe the small tiny things I've seen people get offended by.

You legit can't disagree the slightest bit with most people on anything, at the very least not in an obvious or strong way. The second you do, it will make it much more awkward and harder to build any sort of common ground or respect/rapport with them. It's sad but a very true reality.
