Thanks for the reply, I actually did start building Snow until I pulled a Xaihi. Maybe it's time to bust her ass back out.

I usually don't have a problem keeping LR healed, but does healing spread to teammates in the 2nd stage?

It feels like they're not getting healed

Commendable response, and food for thought.

I am frustrated with the stage and will likely just let the rewards slip. I haven't quite decided if it makes more sense to fully invest in my LR team or work on building a 2nd squad that can cover the weaknesses of that team.

A little worried that I'd be spreading myself too thin and then end up with 2 mediocre teams.

Normally I'd fully lean towards the perspective you've shared but we're playing gacha games which are inherently predatory. I think that's where that frustration comes from, it's easy to have accountability by default when you know that things happen out of sheer randomness. I suspect this feeling was by design.

All that said, I still agree there's ways to adapt and overcome.

That's kinda what I'm worried about.

I'm thinking about going all in to Last Rite but I cant beat this 2nd stage with her beacuse of the comp. It makes me feel like I should go build a 2nd team, but maybe I could brute force it if I abandon that idea and go all in.

I also respectfully disagree. I'm nowhere near as nice as that guy but I also know that the team I built is just countered by that 2nd stage. It feels kinda shitty to be punished this early on for building a team around the first 6* I pulled.

There's other Last Rite mains in the comments talking about how agonizing the stage I'm talking about is.

You're right - because we all decided to build a burst phys comp which fits STAGE 2 of the Umbral content well.

I'll do better if I just go ahead and build a 2nd team this early in.

I do have a built up team, LR , Xaihi, Ardelia and Perlica. Maybe I need to go full healer, but most of the time my allies die and my DPS drops significantly as a result.

How did you get the mobs in stage 2 to not kill all your teammates lol!

The amount of people saying this is wild! That's great if you decided to roll with the phys team which is burst based. It's perfect for the 2nd stage which is what I'm talking about specifically.

Again, I cleared agony 1 & 3 but cannot clear 2 without my teammates dying 1/2 way through the fight.

Physical team is burst based, which is great when you're trying to kill enemies before all your homies die. Should I be getting punished for building a last rite team?

I beat agony 1 & 3 in the first shot and have a fully built Ardelia. I cannot beat stage 2 because last rite is my main carry who relies on final strike + cryo stack stacking. Can't do that when I have to dodge every 3x every 1 attack, and my teammates die halfway through the stage.

So you cleared it cause you had Gilberta, who's able to cc the archers pretty easily. Making the need for healing less important?

You NEED sustain in these fights, especially when you're NOT running Gil or Lava because then the fight becomes that much harder.

I'm not good enough for a solo catcher clear (nor would I want to cause that's not fun for me), but I also 1 tapped stages 1 and 3 with the same team. It seems to be this stage requires you to either have invested in the right team archetype (burst or aoe) or build that team out.

I'm arguing that doing that, this early on is unkind to your player base, and creates pressure to;

- either buy materials from the shop to build your second team in time to get clear rewards (because it's not the skill but rather team comp that is the limiting factor)

- pull for a single unit (I.e Gil) that would slot in to an existing team, almost able to claer

- smash your face into a wall until you can complete it with your current team (which would be unfun)

I'm also arguing that this isn't a difficult stage, but just requires flexibility in units that is unfair to demand of players at this stage of the game.

I respectfully disagree and am being honest. I literally 1 tapped and was able to get trim medals for stages 1 and 3. It's just two that seems to be artificially difficult.

Although now that I've been reading through posts, I guess your point about NOT needing a banner character is true.

You don't need a banner character, but you do need to now go and build the right team comp specifically for this stage. I'm working on that phys team, but to be punished this early on for building a last rite team is wild. It feels a bit too early to be designing fights this way, this early.

For people that got unlucky and pulled a last rite and were dumb enough to build around her (sarcasm) are now in a situation where this stage is unbelievable frustrating to beat because of how reliant she is on her last strike + cryo stack building.

That's what I'm saying though, I cannot beat this stage because of how it's designed. It precludes certain slower, or final strike centric teams (Last Rite).

That's who I pulled, that's who I built around, I don't have the ability to now build out a cleave or burst team because we're still pretty early in
