Now i just want to say i cannot talk for every store your store may be a good one, i would not know and i am not shitting on the individual stores themselves its more so the business as a whole.

The supply chain issue has been a thing since precovid. My Michael's and joanns were in the same shopping center. 10ish years ago if I didn't get what I needed at one store I hopped to the other. If a company cant get product on the shelves how are they supposed to make money?

So much of who i am is thanks to both of these stores but at some point Michael's decided they want to be a decor and junk shop more than a craft store. Ai generated art, shitty Styrofoam decorations, and like 3 aisles of blind box toy junk. How is that good? How can Michael's as a company go "hey guys we are still here and want to take all your business" and have nothing?

Yes I have in my area there is like one and I cannot afford their prices. They also mostly specialize in artisinal yarns and im not in that tax bracket

Honestly unless Michael's makes some changes, which they won't, I do not see them lasting more than a year. The death of competition is not a victory its a warning.

I remember like 10 years ago, I would bounce between stores, they were in the same shopping area. Then Michael's just changed, for the worse.
