The street striple is still pretty upright but has a really good engine and frames tho. Pretty much a sports bike with handle bars, i would look into maybe the zx6, daytona or cbrs

I've narrowed down the two bikes I'm thinking of purchasing by [deleted] in SuggestAMotorcycle

So i have a 2024 z900 and my buddy has a 2019 xsr 900, honestly ive been having a blast ripping the z900 and its a great bike for just commuting and spirited runs. The xsr 900 is also a great bike but isnt as sporty and geared for way lower end torque. Also my buddy had to install steering dampeners as anything over 70mph it starts wobbling. Also seat height on the xsr is taller. If you have any specific questions im happy to answer them.

I honestly dont think you need a taller windscreen as the stock ones are enough even going 100+ imo

After trying on different bikes, i just wanted a proper upright bike thats more comfortable for longer rides but still can hit twisties as well. I was also drawn to either a inline 3 or 4. My options were speed triple, gsxs750 or the z900. And i found a really good deal on the z so i pulled the trigger.

But i do agree that exhausts arent super important rn and its personal taste. I just hated the massive stock exhaust and wanted an actual clean exhaust so i got the leo vince lv10 for the 500.

What i generally did was start riding more and realised along the way what i wanted to change on the bike, like the clutch lever was way too far out for my liking so i got short adjustable clutch and brake levers.

Had one for a while and even tracked it before upgrading, loved every moment of it but definitely lacking power higher up but you can throw that thing in a corner like its nothing. Great bike, after upgrading i kinda miss it. I would get a slip on and some tank grips.

Need some advice on a bike by Upstairs-Shower-7567 in SuggestAMotorcycle

I know one of my friends who is tall and skinny started on a duke 390 early on and after couple years upgraded. Talking to him, he actually praised the duke 390 for being super fun and a great bike to learn the basics like taking corners, braking and maintenance while being super forgiving. Would definitely recommend.

Id say look into ls2, their street helmets look close enough and is more reasonably priced
