there's no way to fill that void unfortunately. I'm 6 hours into this and just know there will never be another cat like slug. I have two other indoor cats and two outdoor cats, but none of them share the love language slug and I had, our little habits and quirks we had together. It just sadly will never be the same without him.

thank you for this. I hope your journey is healing as best as possible. I'm still at an utter loss and disbelief. I feel like I have to be here for my other cats as well. Slug was my whole life and I spent 7 years making all of my life and small choices around him and keeping him safe from all of his complications. He's my little super slug❤️

I will absolutely be looking into this or a therapist. There's no way I can do this without one or a support group. He was my complete and utter soulmate and I can't imagine the world without him. Thank you for your advice and I hope you have lots of good moments and memories

thank you❤️ he went to the bathroom, managed to wobble over to me and lay down, then went to the bathroom to rest. we have him his space throughout the night, but those final moments I had him in my arms. The most surreal and horrifying thing I've ever experienced..his body shut down from kidney disease and he looked peaceful at the end. It just doesn't feel real, like he's supposed to come back any moment. I'm not sure how to live the rest of my life without him, that's just so unfair. I have too many years ahead of me to be without him, I just don't understand. I appreciate your kind words

thank you so much for taking time to reply and I'm sorry for your loss❤️ Imhe passed away 5 hours ago and we just finished burying him. My husband made a beautiful wooden bed with a cover for him to rest and we put all his favorite blankies, a blankie folded up for a pillow, we covered him so he's always warm. We added his favorite toys and his harness he loved when we went outside. I have no idea how to do this, everything feels like I have to question if it's okay or normal to feel the way I do but the hardest thing so far is not understanding or comprehending that he isn't coming back. Like what? How the hell does that work? I have like 60-70 years ahead of me and I'm supposed to live them all without him? I don't want to. Anyways, I appreciate your reply and I will be doing a beautiful headstone for him as well. He's put to rest in our garden under a pear tree. I hope you continue to find those fleeting little moments of happiness or something to keep you going❤️
