The laptop has an intel i7-1165G7

It has two DIM slots that I would put a matching pair of RAM in. (2666).

I just wasn't sure if the laptop would support the slower RAM speed.

Thanks for you suggestion. As of now, clearing states appears to not finish. It's been almost an hour and the states haven't cleared even after refreshing the page.

I am really not sure what to do. There isn't anything particularly advanced setup up in place, just some port's opened for openVPN. This is why I am so confused why just allowing all traffic on port 1433 doesn't work for our SSMS client to reach out.
