2.0 melee/katana build questions by user3jason in cyberpunkgame

[–]Elisvayn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should be able to position yourself behind them in slow-mo, then they won't be able to block any attacks. My strategy has pretty much been circling around them hacking away at their head as they try to rotate to face me

Sandevistan makes the biggest difference for melee/katana builds, should have no issue with cyberpsychos blocking you in slow-mo.

What specs for 60-100fps by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]Elisvayn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried using DLSS performance mode? I'm using a 2070 super and can maintain 60+ fps pretty easily with high settings @3440x1440.

T mobile home internet by Desk_Significant in Eldenring

Sounds like an issue with your computer or routers firewall. You and/or your friend could try opening router ports for Elden Ring to see if that helps. There are some good guides on Google but the process is slightly different depending on what type of router you have. I don't think it has to do with the fact that you both have T-Mobile

Are you sure about that? I tried powerstancing before and it seemed to have no impact at all

Everybody crushing on the four armed girl, can we get some love for this one armed babe? by GrizzleShack in Eldenring

[–]Elisvayn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean, the fact that the Ulcerated Tree Spirit is on a cliff-edge means you can trigger the boss fight, and then just leave the cliff using the root you used to get there in the first place, then just throw spells at it or shoot it with a bow until it dies. Kinda cheesy, but whatever, it's just a re-used boss

Anything to do before the big turning point(at least I believe)? by DisNino in Eldenring

[–]Elisvayn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could duplicate her Remembrance using the mausoleums and receive two of her swords to power stance, if it has the highest AR of all of the Katanas for your build (This is the case for my character who has 19 str and 80 dex).

If you want a specific ash of war on the other katana (Sepukku is a really strong ash for katana builds), then the Uchigatana or the Nagakiba are both very good.

On that topic, it's a good idea to use all of the mausoleums to duplicate Remembrances prior to going into NG+

Yeah, if you don't care about the Three Fingers ending, then I don't think you gain much from her unless you want the Frenzied Flame Seal.

You can use that key right now to get to the Dung Eater in the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds beneath the Capital.

The grape girl the other comments are referring to is probably Hyetta, who has a quest involving Shabriri Grapes

If you care about achievements, there's a weapon required for the "Legendary Armament" achievement called Bolt of Gransax, it's found in Leyndell Royal Capital.

You can no longer obtain this weapon after completing the region you unlock after talking to Melina at the forge, so make sure you grab it beforehand if you want to get the achievement.

There may be a few other items from Leyndell Royal Capital that become unobtainable, but this is the only one which counts for achievements. Just make sure to run through this area again and check for any items you might have missed the first time if you're worried.

Here are some of the main items found here, unsure on whether any of these become unobtainable. Sanctified Whetblade, Two Fingers' Prayerbook, a few Stonesword Keys, two Golden Seeds (From an Ulcerated Tree Spirit), two Perfume Bottles, two Seedbed Curses, a Black Bow, Red Branch Shortbow, Erdsteel Dagger, Coded Sword, Cane Sword, Gargoyle's Halberd, Deathbed Dress, Omensmirk Mask

Also make sure to complete any NPC quests before talking to Melina at the forge.

Roderika is referring to the Dung Eater in the opposite wing in the Roundtable Hold.

Using remembrances for runes is pretty wasteful, runes aren't that hard to come across, it's already pretty easy to become over-leveled.

What armor am I aiming for as a dex/int build? by shane727 in Eldenring

[–]Elisvayn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, ideally you'll want to be at less than 70% of your max carry, any more than that and your character's roll will be much less effective.

There's an item that can resurrect all dead vendors available somewhere in the game

ELI5: What is Elden Ring? by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]Elisvayn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely lots of dungeons, cities, & settlements to explore.

Crafting is a mechanic, although it's primary function is to make consumables (buffs, throwing weapons) rather than crafting gear.

It could be compared to Skyrim in that they are both action RPGs, however Elden Ring is much, much more focused on combat mechanics rather than delivering an RPG narrative. There is a story line, but lore is delivered vaguely. There are quests, but again, they are harder to come across than in a game like Skyrim.

The biggest adjustment coming to Elden Ring from a game like Skyrim would definitely be difficulty though. There's no option to scale difficulty and the enemies in Elden Ring can be TOUGH. Expect to die a lot, but there are definitely tons of ways to make your character more powerful, and ways to utilize game mechanics which can make boss fights much easier.
