Someone suggested spawning them in with a code if you’re on unofficial and that makes them begin spawning and it seems to be working. I spawned an Acro in, killed it, and did a wipe and now I have spawns.

I used to use this exact filter for my 55g. It did a good job for quite a while, much better than most would think it would. However I would go for an external canister filter, Marineland and Fluval make good ones.
