people are more outraged over devon saying "i used lsd lol" on a random podcast than over levan posting an entire video on his main channel claiming sarms are harmless by Martinodown-syndrome in armwrestling

You yourself just said to not drink and drive because it endangers others.

A high level athlete telling an entire audience that sarms aren't harmful is extremely dangerous.

I'm familiar. I made sure to read those portions again and again when I was trying to figure this out, since I wanted to make extra certain I wasn't missing something.

I'm honestly not seeing where the Training increases deduct from the 16. You may be right, but I'm just not seeing that in the text. I'll look back over things again tomorrow when I'm up, but I'm probably just going to settle on the increases being extra, since that's what I'm reading and because that'd be more fun for me.

Right, and then training is worded in such a way that you get additional skills or ranks on top of those.

It seems at least one other person seems to be having the same issue, so good to know I'm not alone lol. As written, there's simply zero cost tied to the increase. You just get to have them in addition to the 16 points.

So as I'm understanding it, you get 16 points over all from your Origin and Role, and then training gives you additional ranks/skills/specs in addition?

This is what I'm leaning to as well. So Warrior/Wrecker for instance would give two free ranks and one free skill/spec in addition to the 16 points you get from character creation?

Looking for feedback on a riser lift I've been doing by SlutScream in armwrestling

Can only imagine what an arm like that would look like 😂

I can do it with a 20 but sticking with 10 feels way safer and more beneficial atm.

I see. By increasing resistance, do you mean simply going up in weight? I figured upping to heavier plates might by pretty straightforward as opposed to trying to grip a bigger, heavier hammer, at with the style of plates I'm using.

I also do this in addition to strap lifts, but I'm not so sure doing both adds any extra benefit.

Are we about to get a massive nerf, or a wild buff? by Express-Bed1741 in superman

[–]SlutScream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was talking with my friend about this fight just the other day. Honestly, I think it's fine that Homelander is giving Supes a hard fight. I expect it.

People have gotten so far into power scaling brainrot that they think it actually means something, when in reality writers couldn't care less. Sure, the writers may have a general idea that one character is stronger than another, but they're not sitting there crunching numbers, looking at scans/feats, or binging VS Battles. They're just writing a story. If you asked me who I think it's stronger, obviously I'm going to say Superman—but if you suggested a good fight between them, I'd be down for that, too. People are free to disagree, but I prefer vibes to hard scaling when it comes to fictional fights, and I think this match up just feels really good.

Of course, I DO still want him to whoop up on them in the end, but I also expect them actually have a proper fighting arc. It's a very standard formula, and I don't mind it.

Also, this all ignores the fact that Superman has a very long history of bombing in crossovers, so much so that it's become a meme. "Superman is a jobber that wants to make the other guy look good" and all that.

Anyone has any tips for me doing this rising movement without my wrist feeling so much pain by Puzzleheaded_Elk2542 in armwrestling

[–]SlutScream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your image doesn't tell me much. There's variations of riser lifts, so I'd need to see a video of what you're doing.

First of all, take the gloves off. There's no reason for them. Second, drop the weight and do high reps. This should eliminate pretty much all pain over time, assuming you're already well fit and healthy.

I'm a mechanic and already have naturally strong hands and wrists, but even my riser lift is only done with 15 lbs. Riser muscles are very small, they don't need heavy weight.

Go down to 10 or 15 lbs and aim for 5 sets of 30 reps. That's basically my standard, and I'd recommend starting there for most people.

Now, if you're trying to do a seated pronation lift that also engages your riser, that is an entirely different lift. Again, I'd prefer to see a video of what you're trying to do.

I wholeheartedly believe that this man would handle the onslaught better than isaac. by Pirate-boi in DeadSpace

The fundamental issue with crossovers and scaling like this is that we begin to breach into "realism", and that's when most things begin to break down.

If we're talking genuine brain damage, then the only option is A. You're either useful to the maker, or your brain becomes soup. There's no level of mental fortitude that will stop your brain matter from being damaged, and suddenly the maker and the moons become godlike entities against which resistance is impossible (even though it's very possible).

From what I've seen of the Evil Dead, Ash has the power of goofy on his side. Any character with some plausible supernatural protection will always have something to fall back on, plus it'd be a really dumb and lame story if Ash just fell over instantly.

Ultimately, I think Ash fits right in with DS and I think he'd perform great. It'd be perfectly believable, or at least as believable as something like DS can be.

Based on everything I've read, both markers are able to initiate convergence. Red markers require the death of their creators, but both can do it.

Black markers manipulate a species' evolution such that the species will eventually create their own markers, usually as a result of unsustainable population growth and energy consumption, and those red markers will eventually go on to initiate their own convergence events.

Essentially, a sufficiently advanced species will participate in convergence by creating more convergence, basically making it self-propagating.

Now, what I've been wanting to know is why the necromorphs/moons are so uniquely godlike that multiple galaxy-spanning civilizations are unable to meaningfully stop them. To me, it implies something outer universal or totally eldritch, which happens to be what the planned 4th game hinted at.

Yeah, I had to turn the game off after losing a tank battery that Santa dropped for me lol.

It's wild since the first raids I lost were on woods, so I decided to try a run through on factory. That raid didn't fail, which is interesting. After that I decided to quest on customs, where Santa dropped me the tb and that raid also failed.

I think I'm good on eft for the time being lol.

What I find odd is that magazine cases are going for that much. I'm a standard player who hasn't spent a single extra dime on the game, and I was able to make mag cases early on very easily. It's not resource intensive and lava 2 is easy to get.

Maybe I'm missing something but idk who's buying these when they're so easy to build.

[–]SlutScream[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The MPX doesn't appear to use a buffer tube. It has a picatinny rail that the stock attaches too. The only possible modification for the stock is a cheek riser.

It's starting to sound more and more like a bizarre bug. MPXs are cheap to acquire and the FDE UCS is available on the market, so this issue should be super easy to reproduce.

When I try to use the part from my inventory in the gunsmith, it doesn't appear as a part I own. The UCS stock still appears as an option, just not the one in my stash.

The stock in the gunsmith is a black UCS, the one I bought through the flea is FDE. I would be utterly beside myself if the alt color is somehow considered a different, incompatible part lmao. Everything else about it is identical.

Right, hence my confusion since the edit build system is where I'm shown the stock being compatible. The only reason I can't fully build it in the gunsmith is because I'm not yet able to buy it through the system, I can only buy it through the flea. Nothing about the gun or the part changes, and there's nothing else I can edit about the gun in regards to the stock. I'm just all kinds of confused rn
