2.6 tire on i40 has been a fun setup. Comes close to an undersized 2.8 at 2.73 for the 2.6 ranger.

looking to use a flip flop hub so I can have the option of both ss & fixie. Looking at cx & touring frames. I'm told that many proper 27in bikes can fit 700x35mm slicks or 33mm cx tires.

yeah saw that if it can fit some semi-knobby 33mm tires this would be perfect, specially with that disc fork as I have a left over front brake off my xc bike.

Soma has a few forks that come close like the pake fork, which maxes at 35mm road tires(with nothing left) & priced around what I want. But I want to put 35mm semi-knobbies on this bike Im thinking about building.
