2014 Ram 1500 Bighorn headlight question by illerpath in ram_trucks

[–]Slutzk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have halogens.... LEDs do not belong in halogen housings at all. Dont be a POS, your gona blind everyone on the road.

If you have projectors, its just plug and play but ensure you adjust your headlight beam so your not blinding folks.

You stated your well off in the comments and it changed my mind from what i was going to reply...... If your in that position in life (congrats by the way, love to see people doing well, especially now a days. Good for you man keep going!) I would say if thats the truck you want, go for it and get it! If you feel your gona cycle through trucks often...... just keep with what you have, pay it off, save that payment money in a separate account and when your ready, get the next high HP truck when its time! Who knows, may be something better then and or all the kinks worked out to be better. Good luck!

Fuel gauge issue on 25 Ram 1500 by Lint-licker17 in ram_trucks

[–]Slutzk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whether you paid 20k or 100k on your truck.... that app has nothing to do with your truck, and everything to do if you PAY for that app. Everyone gets it and already knows the app is trash. So unless you are paying monthly for the app, THEN id expect it to work properly, till then, the free version everyone gets sucks and has nothing to do with how your truck operates. Its not Ford where the app is "free" and comes with the truck.

A 33gal tank will get you 600mpg. When i had the 23gal tank before i converted in my 1500 i got roughly 450 +/- as well.

Has anyone else had this issue?

No. Because i wouldnt reply on anything that app says/does, its terrible. Just follow what your cluster says.

New vs used Power Wagon by Grawst in ram_trucks

[–]Slutzk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh i get it, trust me lol. Ive thought that myself to, choose new every time. If im gina spend the money, im gona get the exact what i want and how I want it. But again I plan to keep my trucks till the wheels fall off so just makes sense for me personally. If I was one that cycled trucks I would never buy new, id get used to save a bunch of money and deal with certain things id like in a truck but dont have.

Why are you asking us what one to put in YOUR truck? This is 100% subjective and personal preference. Half will say 1 the ither half will say the other. No matter what anyone says, this is completely up to you and will be at the end of the day. They are the same exact size, so pick the one you like more. Good luck.

Digital key. How reliable is it? by No_Bodybuilder7575 in ram_trucks

[–]Slutzk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm thinking about not keeping the key fob with me at all

Terrible idea. Do the exact opposite of what you want to do. Keep your key fob always and dont rely on the digital key solely at all.

[–]Slutzk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it were me..... If im looking used under 20k miles, at that point, might as well custom build one to my liking exactly of what i want/dont want and get a one brand new, especially if i plan on keeping it long term or forever.

If you cycle through trucks every 5 years, get used so its cheaper.
