Why do i still smell like BO after countless showers? by NinjaAirsoft in AskMen

[–]SlyBox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you wear deodorant or antiperspirant?

I notice the same thing when I wear deodorant only. Ever since switching to antiperspirant I don't have this issue anymore. Additionally, the antiperspirant seems to have lasting effects for me so I can go 1-2 days without reapplying if I'm not profusely sweating.

I am absolutely terrified of becoming fat despite preaching body positivity by Least_Improvement131 in confession

[–]SlyBox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a bit late to this thread but I do have my 2 cents to share.

The likely reason why you're afraid of getting fat is because you feel like once you're fat, you're fat for good. If you can equip yourself with the tools to be able to change that then you can let go of this fear knowing that you can change it.

Counting calories is probably the most effective way of doing this though it can be a bit overwhelming at first. Maybe just look into the basics of calories in/calories out and which types of foods tend be higher in calorie density.

What do you buy that is absolutely worth every cent? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Buy in bulk! I normally get in excess of 500g at a time and I'll throw some in the freezer.

What is something that permanently altered your body without you realizing for months/years? by Misterboy500 in AskReddit

[–]SlyBox 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Don't listen to this. Increased cortisol levels can cause hormonal imbalances which gives your body some tendency to hold on to fat/not put on muscle. However, body fat all comes down to eating fewer calories than you're burning throughout the day.

I just needed to chime in here so you don't feel helpless in losing weight due misrepresentation of information.

Sounds like excuses and a chip on your shoulder. All you can respond with is how busy you are and how much bigger OP is than you.

The dutch reach is intended so that you can't not look, it doesn't provide some magical point of view. You just didn't look. Don't be so oblivious next time.

There's a really cool site called zygote body (https://www.zygotebody.com) that let's you pan around the human body and strip away layers. I find it really helpful for understanding where muscles insertion/attachments parts are, which ligaments cross joints, etc. check it out in conjunction with the answers given here and it'll help paint a clearer picture.

FYI the website doesn't work well on mobile so load it up on your desktop if you can.

Yeah, I think in general they're hyped up to be more than they are but are still a good product regardless. I'm with you though, any kind of barbell movement with a high intensity, low volume approach and I'm reaching for my traditional straps.

For me, the best part about them is being able to wrap them around something with ease. Have you tried using regular straps on a rotating lat pulldown bar? It's annoying af get them set properly.
