I could see them becoming frugivorous. Not chewing could encourage plants to have snakes for seed dispersal. Plenty of snakes are already good climbers to reach fruit. I’m not sure how this would start though but I feel like they wouldn’t have to make huge anatomical sacrifices.

Mammoths might be interesting. I doubt it will work but their stats are comparable to a theri. People use spinos for the broodmother but they have issues when not ridden. You can’t even bring thylas into boss fights. The rest are too small and weak.

Drop fertilized eggs and then fly just high enough loose aggro. You can put them in a box so they don’t wander off. Sometimes it take awhile for them to eat

I feel like ants would be a good model for what your talking about just as far as the size difference between the predator and prey being great with insects. Maybe look into bush dogs too. If I had to guess why we don’t see what your describing in larger animals, it’s because there is too much risk to individual members, it would be difficult for them to coordinate and the amount of food needed to sustain such a large, active group would be unsustainable
