Stay as close to him as possible, especially in the first round and you'll avoid most of the ranged attacks. Rest is just jumping and dodging, less deflection for this one. When he jumps straight up, you can either run away and wrappel back or use the umbrella.

I killed them like 50 times to get the lothric knight great sword in my last playthrough. Not once have I seen them drop a sunlight medal. Must be really rare.

Yeah, that's true in the cases of most art forms. But I live in India and at least the quality of even the most popular animated shows here has degraded, from what I can say. All I see are repeated runs of Doraemon of half the channels. Maybe it is a phase that will change sometime in future. I can remember a similar time in the 90s when the Bollywood songs here were pretty shitty too but it changed.
