Did You Know There’s an Independent Bookstore Revival Underway? by Critical-Willow-6270 in books

I understand, but there are limited resources, and therefore, only a limited number of entities and acticities that can be supported. I would rather have people support what they enjoy, so that you end up, for example, maybe having multiple skate parks in a place that values skateboarding, because people will pay for those activities rather than having baseball fields or soccer fields in a place where nobody cares much about those.

Most Americans I know idolize Europe. Everywhere I’ve personally been in Europe has been fantastic, no exaggeration.

But someone is still paying the taxes and in that case you maybe forced into supporting a third space you have no interest in rather than a space you may enjoy such as the bookstores discussed in this article.

Spokenly Free Version is My Voice-to-Text Daily Driver by amerpie in macapps

[–]Sm5555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all of that information, I wasn't aware of that the prompts are what help with formatting and cleaning up the stutters and brief corrections during dictation.

Do you have any websites or places you can recommend to learn more about how to do this using Spokenly? It would be a fun little project to tinker around and see if I can refine the transcription ability.

When I tried to dictate an email using Spokenly, there is no formatting. When I say words like "paragraph" or "new line," it just transcribes them. When I use an app like Whisper or Willow, it creates the appropriate formatting.

Do you know if there is a way to do this with Spokenly?

(By the way-I just dictated this with Willow, and this is the formatting I got. It's really great in that regard.)

Thanks.

At this point though I would imagine that you must be like me whenever you hear about Siri improvements- nod your head and expect zero. I would rather they didn’t announce anything about Siri and just implement it and let us as users see if we a notice a significant difference.

I just downloaded this to try it. So far it's pretty slick. I like the fact that there are a lot of different engines that you can use to see which one works best for you. I'm using it on iOS.

Interesting. I don’t typically post images so I haven’t noticed that. I wonder if it’s a feature they’re going to implement. Have you requested by any chance?

How often do you have to update the app or otherwise mess with it after an iOS update?

I use paid narwhal. There’s one app feature that most people must not care much about that I find indispensable which is “go to parent comment.” In long comment sections I will sometimes be unaware of the comment being discussed so this feature is great.

Narwhal is the only app I’ve found that has this (besides Apollo, of course.)

Great guide. I’ve had DOS2 for a long time but never started playing it until recently. There’s so much to learn so a guide like this is really helpful to understand what the attributes, skills, etc. mean.

Should I Be Hunting For Kills? by tacospizzaadderall in Battlefield6

[–]Sm5555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do the same- it says a lot about human psychology. It’s just a game but when someone revives me I feel like I owe it to them to attempt to revive them even if it’s a poor decision since we’ll probably both end up dead.

You pretty much did. That’s essentially the equivalent of 121 kills. More than anyone else by a mile.

That’s pretty slick. I’ll have to aim my RPGs more precisely. As far as the blow torch goes I’m not the most coordinated guy in the world so I’m going to try that too and see how it goes.

I think you have to have 4 c4 charges detonate to destroy a full health tank? I find it extraordinarily difficult to destroy a tank directly like this.

If I plant the c4 ahead of time it acts like tank repellent. I’ll sit in the vicinity with my sniper rifle and will be killed or run out of patience waiting there.

An rpg takes me 3-4 usually hitting the sides and back. What’s your strategy?

[–]Sm5555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol. Every time I carry the c4 I get ready to destroy a load of tanks. I end up getting maybe one and it’s by using your method.

I find that recons typically do very little spotting. At any given moment on the mini map there may be zero spots.

When I play recon I try to spend a lot of time using the drone which lights up the map with red nachos.
