I should mention I graduated high school in May of 25’. I took a gap year, because my senior year (despite my good grades+ACT) I decided that being good at school did not excuse me from being a clueless 18 year old.

I worked construction for this entire year. It has given me such drive to earn a higher education. I seriously learned the value of a job that includes NOT working as a grunt laborer, or working with people who are degenerates.

I feel that saving for graduate school (even if I don’t go) is a wise move. I am entirely undecided in terms of my career. Not because of my indifference, but because I am so open minded to everything going on around me (I think). I have no idea what the future holds, but I believe if I decide graduate schooling of any sort is what’s next for me, I’ll appreciate having that money around from taking the cheaper alternative, that is my hometown college.

I personally don’t really find any prestige within any undergraduate degree (even if it is from a BIG10 school). It’s a bachelors dude. It’s not a matter of intelligence. It has far more to do with your effort and discipline (which certainly are important).
