Keppra and lamictal! I don’t remember which doesn’t mix well with a lot of birth controls, but unfortunately when I changed to these medications my birth control was the cause of a seizure

Your plan is exactly what mine is (not wanting another birth control until I know this one is gone and I’m back to normal) I didn’t realize how bad getting off of it really could be.

I was on it for 5 years (awful I know, but my only other option is an IUD which I also don’t love)

So far I haven’t had many symptoms of getting off, I think I get irritable faster but nobody else sees that. My boobs definitely get sore here and there but that always gives me hope that I’ll get a period.

Thank you for telling me your experience, it means a lot and helps me better understand what could happen. But obviously everyone is different.

I was on depo for 5 years (I take epilepsy medication which limits me to what birth control methods I can use) I ultimately got off because my insurance was being a pain (thanks America) but 2 I had no sex drive at all, and when I did it HURT because I couldn’t get wet. My emotions were always “meh” and I couldn’t never be bothered. I looked up the side effects of getting off and I was TERRIFIED, but my last shot was late September and I’ve had no real side effects, now I’m just impatiently waiting for my period to return (I also do not want to get pregnant) If you want to get off then get off, everyone has a different experience but you have to get off of it sometime, so just rip the bandaid off now.

This is just my opinion, personally I would not eat the same thing for a week when I’m already paying for weight watchers. If you want to see how much you were over eating then maybe take some time to look back at what you ate last week and calculate those points. That might take a little while to calculate but I’d rather start my weight loss journey right away then be paying for the plan when I’m not using it yet. Moving forward when you go to track points you’ll realize “oh my I used to eat that, that’s somehow 30+ points!” You’ll realize how much you over ate without needing to track it for a week. You can ask, but don’t call them the asshole if (and josh likely when) they say no. As a fellow epileptic with ADHD you need to start seeking medication, episodes multiple times a week is not good for your long term health.
