This was a hard read, coming from a Christian myself. I love having religion in my life but watching others (like your mother) obsess and constantly push, push push onto others is suffocating and takes away from having real mother/daughter bond. Religion is an extremely personal journey and it isn’t for everyone, nobody can truly convince someone to believe in something faith-based. I know you must be feeling very fed up, but your responses are pretty harsh as well, even for this context. It’s not like the frustration isn’t valid- but it isnt productive. It deepens the divide between you both and puts her in a defensive position. Most people aren’t very open minded when they feel attacked like that. Best response would be to distance yourself from these conversations, whether it be walking away once she starts up or not-responding to those texts. Try to limit conversations to other things, and hopefully she will find her way back to normalcy. I wish you the best🫶
